Seeing his Daughter talk about her father was so incredibly sad.
1I think Michael Jackson is a total freak, but I def. teared up over his daughter's speech.
She made me see that he was such a public figure with such a private life. Underneath it all, he was just a father who loved his children. My heart breaks for their loss, and the fact that bc of our scrutiny, they were cheated from having a normal, childhood with their father.
2I cant stop thinking about his daughters voice. It made me realize how sad this ending really is. And that we never gave them a chance of having a normal life. I hope with all my heart that his children will stay with his mother in his family rather than be taking by that Rowe women, who gave them away for money in the first place.

4I was ok until Paris spoke.
She is a brave little girl. I feel for the Jackson family.
5Me too Aurora. It was a beautiful service but I lost it when Paris spoke. God bless those children.
6I just can't believe they made that little girl speak, like she had to defend him as a father. disgusting.
7I thought that she wanted to speak.
8I thought she wanted to speak as well. During the whole ceremony, she was the one who looked the most together, and she totally sparkled as she sang along to 'We are the World.' I actually had a feeling she would speak. She already seems to be taking on the leadership role among the children.
9I don't know if they forced Paris to speak. I think it just came from her heart. She and her siblings lost her dad and she was their spokesperson. I've seen other memorials where a small child saya a little something. It didn't seem disgusting to me.

11I think everything was done very tastefully! The music and Maya Angelou's poem was great. And poor Paris. She broke my heart!
12ugh, why would they force her to speak if she didn't want to? she started the speech off saying "i just wanted to say..." just maybe, she wanted to say something about the father she loved.
13Paris's speech broke my heart!!!!! His children are so beautiful!!
14I'm pretty sure she chose to speak. His other children didn't.
15It was a wonderful service.
16If you watch the video, she very obviously WANTED to speak. She gets Janet's attention a minute before and whispers to her, and Janet appears to ask if she's sure. Then Marlon goes to introduce Janet, who allows Paris to step up instead.
17I broke down when Paris talked about her dad. I was pretty much ok until then. The last two songs were the best and it was touching seeing his kids sing those songs along with the other children. Really cute!!!!
18The Jacksons wanted her to speak so that they could win custody because people will see that they are supposedly better off with the Jacksons. I think Katherinwe would be better than their true mother because they don't really know Debbie like they know Katherine.
It think they pushed her to talk too.
19I've never seen anything like that, everything was to the perfection i was so moved by it , the King of pop would live forever in our hearts and Michael Jackson's kids belong to his family not to what's her name Debi the apportunitiest who never lived with them that would be a big blow to poor kids.
20I lost it when Paris Michael Katherine, 11, broke down in sobs and said "My daddy was the best father you could ever imagine..."
Bless Michael Jackson's sweet children.
Jermaine Jackson touched me deeply, with his beautiful voice and quiet suffering. I met him when I was the host on Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve.
Michae Jackson, I love and adore you. Rest in peace..
21I HIGHLY doubt she was pressured into speaking. None of the other children spoke. It's pretty clear to me that she was the only one who chose to. Not to mention that the moment she really broke down, her aunts and uncles, particularly Janet, immediately whisked her off the stage to make she she was okay. That did not come off forced to me whatsoever. I completely disagree.
22and she chose to speak cause she wanted to say something about her dad.
23This memorial for Michael Jackson was very beautiful. The performers were powerful. The speakers spoke very wonderfully about their experiences with Michael. The Jackson family are a strong unit...no matter what. I have to say the children love their grandmother, aunts & uncles. Michael's children are very adorable and when Paris spoke in the end...I just started crying even harder. BTW, it did appear that she asked Janet could she speak...and did. She is brave and I commend her. Moreover, Blanket is only 7...he needs comfort and he got it through a doll of his beloved father. Haters: I wonder what people will say about you when you drop dead?!
24It was a moving tribute, I thought. Loved Jennifer Hudson (very moving), John Mayer (sooooo good!), Stevie Wonder, Lionel, etc...and then Usher comes and made it all about him! I just found his part to be disrespectful.
25MJ's kids are very well behaved and so beautiful. I sincerely hope that the press will let them have their privacy and mourn in peace. Paris did great; her little speech is like an audio of John-John's salute to JFK at his funeral, I thought. I agree with the others who said Paris asked to speak--even before she did, it looked like Janet was asking "are you sure?" And her family took care of her afterward, as they should. Blanket looks like Michael a lot. Prince held it together.
Paris Jackson broke my heart. I couldn't stop crying. Such a beautiful memorial-it made his death seem all the more real. heartbreaking.
26Does this mean we can all move on now? Please.
27I truly hope so. I so tired of hearing about this child molestor.
28It was not a circus.Rather tasteful. But sad. Mostly when his daughter talked.
29Paris wanted to speak. It was very sweet the way Janet was with her. But when Paris started speaking, I just started crying. I thought they looked okay for three kids who lost their dad, but I know it overwhelmed her, the outpouring of love -- and maybe since so many other people did, she felt it was okay, too. And how she just flung herself into Janet's arms was so heartbreaking.
When Michael's brothers were crying, I lost it, too. I mean, you can just feel the loss they felt.
Oh, and Al Sharpton saying "There wasn't anything strange about your Daddy. What was strange was what he had to deal with", was absolutely what those kids needed to hear. I appreciate that he said it.
It was a beautiful tribute. May he rest in peace always.
30what every happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY in this country? Micheal Jackson meant alot to alot of people and was NEVER convicted of anything. He was a man with three children who he clearly loved and clearly loved him, his children knew him, none of the rest of us do and we shouldn't judge what we do not know. He was beloved by many people around the world, and had more impact than you will ever have.
31I love Brooke Shields speech and then s cover of "Smile" and of course sad little Paris making it real and personal. Blanket indeed looked a lot like Michael or was styled like him, I don't know.
32The last years MJ's life was so full of rumors, weirdness and I slowly forgot what he and his music meant to the world, but back in the 80's I was one of those teens screaming their hearts out on his concerts. I am not ashamed, this is not who I am now, but it stays true that he touched many people and had a major positive influence like stated in the speeched in the memoriam.
that is: Germaine's cover
33and: speeches
Just because a person is found not guilty, doesn't always mean that they honestly are NOT GUILTY.
34I'm glad all this media coverage on MJ will finally start to calm down, since he was buried today.
35#34 just because someone makes accusations doesn't mean that they're true!
36actually Marylane thats exactly what innocent until proven guilty means... it means that if you are not proven guilty that you are innocent... I don't see where you are getting confused...
37i'm so sick of people INTENT on believing MJ was a child molestor. there will always be those who want to bring down other people.... usually just b/c they're unhappy with their own selves.
38Um, no, even if the courts say that you're innocent doesn't always mean that you honestly are in REALITY. You may have actually done the crime and had a group of excellent expensive attorney's by your side. And plenty of influence from the public because they not only feel sorry for you, but they are also you confused fans.
Just like OJ had__Paris, Lohan, and all the other celebs are the same. They get caught, possibly charged, and then their expensive attorney's get them off without any time.
Being that you all are fans of Michael's, I can see why you're so angry when someone gives an opinion that you don't like. But learn to get over it and move on.
39When Paris went onto the stage and started talking, tears immediately came to my eyes. I was also moved by how supportive all her aunts and uncles were of her up there.
Gosh, the memorial was just touching all around.
And JamesT, saying "get over it and move on" is just a tad bit disrespectful given the circumstances.
40No it's not "a tad bit much."
I'm saying don't get so upset over other people's opinions. Everyone in the world has one and you can't lose your cool every time you read or hear something that irritates you. Not everyone can agree with you. Accept or at least respect others opinions and let it go.
41RIP MJ ..the memorial was so touching, so sweet.. Thank you for sharing Jackson family. Paris made me bawl, I couldn't breathe when she spoke.. I empathize with her.. it will get easier for the kids. I just hope the family keeps them out of the spotlight. Also when Brooke called Prince Michael III "Blanket" that just ruined her speech for me, personally.
42I think jamesT needs to get over it and move on to another post!
43Damn, you see what I mean.
I can say something positive and it still ticks you women
off. All I did was defend someone elses thoughts/opinions on here. Some of you are unbalanced a little.
And yes, his children are cute and they look well behaved all the time, no matter the media coverage on their father. Hopefully Katherine will get them in the end. Joe seems a little unstable just like Michael Jackson said he was, in a way. But from what I hear his parent have been separated for years, thank God.
44I liked him better in his younger years.
45JamesT I was responding to #39 post and it was definitely not positive! It was rude and disrespectful, and your last comment was positive in a way, but I think you're the one that is clearly unbalanced. Do you have multiple personalities or something?
46I was tearing up at Paris. Omg poor babies.
47"ugh, why would they force her to speak if she didn't want to? she started the speech off saying "i just wanted to say..." just maybe, she wanted to say something about the father she loved. "
Um are you blind? Paris clearly said she wanted to speak and Janet asked her if she was sure.
48I'm sorry but I firmly believe that we should have faith in our justice system. I'm sure if you were ever tried for something you didn't do and were found innocent you wouldn't want the court of public opinion saying that you were guilty, or a monster. I may be too optimistic, but I think its wrong to view every celebrity ever found not guilty of a crime they were accused of to be guilty. I'm not saying I think OJ was innocent (infact he was found guilty in civil court and responsible for the deaths and recently guilty of kidnapping) or that Micheal Jackson never did anything wrong but he was found not guilty so you have no right to call him a child molester.
49If you watch the video, during Marlons speech little Paris said something to latoya, Latoya pulled jermaine and said something to him, then said something to Janet, then Janet said something that looked like are you sure to Paris.....a little wordy I know but the point is it was a memorial and as far as the family is concerned I dont think there was anything but genuine love and grief.
I did think that Usher's moment looked to much like he was using the casket as a prop, then the tears, and the removing of the sunglasses immediatly after the song ended seemed staged and made me a little sick. Up until that moment I really enjoyed his performance, but the bowing on one knee with his head in Katherines lap..IDK maybe I saw something that wasnt there
