Karate kid remake? I hope it bombs. They should not touch that movie. argh

What is with the Smiths? Will is one of the wealthiest film stars ever. He's already made enough money to ensure that his children never have to work a day in their lives..they could learn languages, travel the world, get an education and try to affect the world. Will and Jada could give their children a full life. But they are not even giving them a childhood. Don't they watch those shows where they interview former child actors? It's not a gift to have your children join the industry. Will and Jada get my vote as two of the worst most egotistical parents ever. It's like their children have to validate them.

Will is a brilliant actor and he's sooooooooooooo hotttttttttttttttttttttttttt I love him so much.

How the hell could YOU possibly know how they raise their kids? How do you know these kids are not getting an education? What is your definition of a full life?

I thought the same thing: This movie shouldn't be remade; I love it even now.

But when news first broke that it WAS being remade... People.com (I think that's where I read it) had an interview with THE Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, who was understandably disturbed over the news, changed his mind when he received a "very special phone call" (his words) from none other than young Jaden himself - Wanting advice on how to best do the Karate moves. NOT an instructor as you would think but the ACTOR.

Seems that the movie is Jaden's favorite & he wants to pay homage to it & one of HIS favorite actors. I thought that was a very nice gesture on the part of someone so young - Really, how often does THAT happen re: "Remade" movies?

WHAT? Clearly its Jaden's choice whether or not he'd like to go into acting like his father. Out of the 3 children he seems to be the only one interested in that direction and I think Will and Jada respect that. I've only seen their daughter in one movie and Will's oldest son in like one of his music videos. I don't think you know what you're talking about. You don't know them and its entirely up to them what they'd like their children to value or not. I get the impression they are pretty good parents

i feel like this franchise lived it's life and was done years ago - i'm not sure why they are bringing it back. oh well. as for jaden filming overseas - is he there by himself or are the 'rents with him? i wonder how that would work cause he's really young.

Will looks a lot better with hair. I don't like that haircut.
