On Monday, we kicked off the 2009 PopSugar Bikini Body Bracket to narrow down 64 insanely hot celebrity ladies in swimsuits throughout the month of July and crown one winner. Virtually impossible, I know.
For the first two days of the bracket we watched you all vote and the closest margins were Reese Witherspoon vs. Sheryl Crow and Audrina Patridge vs. Katy Perry — those are some tough matchups. We also weren't surprised to see Pop favorites like Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears and Rihanna on their way easily to round two.
This morning our friends over at Sports Illustrated Hot Clicks sent over their readers and whoa, just like that everything changed! I thought it would be interesting to take a look at how our predominately female audience was voting versus how the male influx changed the tides. Remember, the voting on round one ends on Saturday at midnight so there's still time to vote here and of course, when you finish any round you are entered to win an iPhone!

- Nicole Richie vs. Paris Hilton Our readers were all about Nicole, but after a few hours of testosterone-influenced voting, Paris Hilton has the lead.
- Britney Spears vs. Heidi Montag Turns out, the guys aren't as turned off by Heidi as some of you all are. She's still trailing Brit by a bit, but Mrs. Pratt is closing in.
- Kristen Bell vs. Sienna Miller The two blond beauties make a close matchup, but men can't seem to get enough of cute Kristen Bell who has taken the lead over Sienna.
- Reese Witherspoon vs. Sheryl Crow Reese scored the number 2 spot on the PopSugar 100, but when the SI readers came to town they were all impressed with the crooner's rock hard abs as she scooted ahead of Reese.
- Rihanna vs. Hayden Panettiere: Number one seed Rihanna was off to a quick lead, but barely-legal Hayden caught the eyes of the guys.
- Favorites All Around... Leighton Meester, Bar Refaeli, Gisele Bundchen and Jennifer Aniston are looking like shoo-ins right into the next round of the bikini bracket!
So what do you think about these generalized findings — interesting or predictable?

Predictable. IMO women are picking the chick they think is sweet and pretty and who could would be their BFF. Guys aren't that complicated. Who is the sexiest/has the best body. And yes women and guys differ in how they rate that as well.
1The only one that surprises me is Kirsten Bell over Sienna Miller, anatomically speaking, Sienna has the better body, based on today's standards, I am surprised to see the men go for the shorter and ever so slightly fuller Kristen.
2Zeze I think that makes perfect sense. Women tend to be way more obsessed with thinness than men. I can't speak for all men, but the guys I know don't really care how tall a woman is and most prefer curves.

4I agree with splork women and men look at things differently I voted for Reese and Nicole because they look great but they also seem like nicer people compared to the people they are up against.
5interesting, but i'm not surprised. i would think guys would pick britney over heidi b/c brit's curves are better. heidi just has giant, fake boobs.

8The one I found surprising was Rihanna vs. Hayden Panettiere. They both are a bit thicker (mostly in the thighs), and have smalller chests, but I would think they would like Rihanna better. Hayden is like a little girl.
I must think like a guy, because I too voted for Paris, Kristen B, and Sheryl Crow. I went with Rihanna b/c if you've ever seen Hayden in person, she's sooo short and compact its weird. I voted for Heidi too. Her abs/legs are insane.
9If men like curves why on earth are anorexic hilton and gisele taking the lead? Neither have boobs or butts.
10gisele is taking the lead because she is up against kathy griffin. bear in mind this isn't exactly scientific polling - i didn't recognize about 25% of these people, and many of the pictures are awful, so you have to go by memory or impression.

I wonder if the quality of the pictures will have an influence on the voting. Because some of my pics (Reese Witherspoon over Sheryl Crow in particular) the pictures they used were not particularly flattering.
I picked Paris over Nicole because Nicole always seems to look like she's getting over a crack binge. I never bought into the whole Britney is hot craze and still don't think of her as all that attractive.
12Hey Guys (and Girls), as for the quality of the pics — we know. We limited ourselves to photos taken from June 2008-June 2009 rather than best bikini picture ever of the ladies so that it can really be best bikini body of the year.

It seems bizarre what women like. The rankings are crazy in the first place. Hayden a 16 and Julia Roberts a 7? Tea Leoni a 10? Is this 1996? It shouldnt surprise anyone about Kristen Bell or Hayden...they are easily two of the most appealing female stars to men. Kate Gosselin was rated higher than Hayden...there are usually 100 women on any given beach with better bodies than her.
14Clearly you people have not seen pics of Gisele. She actually has decent sized (and natural) boobs. She's known for having a slender yet curvy figure. Are you saying that the woman who brought curves back on the catwalk has no curves?
15How on earth is Marisa Miller a #9 seed? She should be the favorite to win.

19who chose the heats? Women ten to twenty years apart..women competing who had children vs. childless, implants vs. natural, bad picture vs. best photo ever taken...the pairings in alot of cases seem unfair though in many cases the underdog wins by a mile..case in point Nicolette vs. Lindsay..isn't she old enough to be her youngish, fun, hot aunt? Yay for her for looking great against such a kid...but isn't the kid having major personal/drug problems?This needed more thought.
