I totally agree with Solitaire and was going to say the exact thing myself. The minute she told him about the theme of the party he knew she wasn't the right woman for him. I'm glad he bolted, and I bet he won't be back.

I am not suprised by this at all. Tony Romo seems to me like he's a tool. Why in the world would you wait and break up with someone the day before their birthday? I have never really liked these two together. I haven't been a big Jess fan lately either. She's changed a lot since her arrival in Hollywood. I always thought that Nick and Jess were a great couple, but who knows. We'll see.

I like Jessica... I feel like she gets a bad rap but none of use REALY know her. We only know what the tabloids want us to know. I hope her and Nick get back together, and they do not need to do a sequel, they just need to be alone!

Do any of you realize that many "adults" collect & sell Barbies - NOT the toy ones for little girls, but the other ones... I attended a charity auction a few weeks where "Japanese" Barbie fetched $6,600 dollars! It was part of "Barbies of the World" collection... or something like that.

Granted, it's been years since I had to go shopping for toys, & they may not be there anymore, but there was always the kiddie Barbies & clothing right next to the "collectibles" which cost between $70.00 & $200.00! Seriously - for a hunk of plastic! Can you imagine how much is spent EVERY year on clothes & accessories?

Anyway, guys (& some gals) tend to be quite insensitive when it comes to breaking up - Isn't one trend "texting" each other when it's over rather than just doing it in person. Besides, he's Tony Roma - the same guy who's fans blamed Jessica for his "off" season. By the so-called "news" reports about it, I was expecting her to be lynched.

Can't say I didn't see this coming after reading his comment about her which was full of "like" not "love". It seemed more like a friendship than a relationship. Not surprised. I don't see her and Nick getting back together, but hey, John Mayer is free too. That was a match made in tabloid heaven. As for Tony, the thought of teammates taping tabloid pics of him as Ken on his locker was probably just too much for a pro ball player.

He spoke at a sports memorabilia gathering Saturday night, so it sounds like he planned a bit ahead of time that he wasn't going to be at her bday party.

Can you really blame the dude? He's just breaking up with her because he's now realized that she's destined to be a lardass. He probably wanted to cut the string before when she blew up, but he was nice enough to give her another shot. It's a shame. She used to look so good back in the early "Newlyweds" days. The guy is a famous athlete. He deserves someone who looks good and will continue to look good. Jessica is just too thick now and it's only going to get worse. And face it, all she's ever had going for her is her looks.

I agree that the day before her birthday was way better than the day after, and I just always got the feeling that he was really uncomfortable in their relationship. She and her parents always spoke so freely about him in the press, and he has never once said they were in love. I pretty much saw this coming when she freaked out in the press about Carrie Underwood saying that she was lying about talking to Tony on the phone because she checked his phone. That is the sign of a teeeeeeeeeerrible relationship.
