When I watched the previous shows, I felt bad for Jon because Kate yelled at him all the time. But they have 8 kids and Jon was so laid-back and Kate is the pusher, so I understand her stress. But that's still not nice.
The more I learn, the more I find out Jon is an ass. After being caught having affair with a school teacher, he wanted out of marriage. So he made up the story of Kate having an affair with the body guard (this new has just come out). And now he has his ears pierced. He acts like a bum nowadays. I just feel bad for those girls and boys when they grown up and learn about their father

I used to be a big fan of the show and the kids, but I always thought Kate was a harpie and could never figure out why Jon put up with it. Now I am sick of both of them and wish for once they would actually act in the best interests of their kids.

WOW !! I can't believe what an idiot Jon really is and how he shows absolutely no respect for the wife of his children or his children period. They just separated like 2 or 3 weeks ago. Now he's smoking and dating a 23 year old who was a friend of him and his wife.

Kate had the tummy tuck 5 years ago. Did he have the hots for this Hailey then when she was 17. Wouldn't surprise me with him.

everyone says kate is a pushover and a pain to deal with, but honestly who wouldnt be when taking care of 8 kids. i applaud her for raising well behaved children, and seemingly always has everything organized. you go on shows such as nanny 911 and theres a set of parents taking care of two kids, and theyre not well behaved.

Jon is trying to recapture the youthful days he thinks he was cheated out of. He can't. He has eight children at home, at least two of whom can Google his sorry a$$ and see all these ridiculous photos of their daddy. What a complete and total loser. Kate isn't much better as she was a shrew, but at least she's now home with the kiddos. Too little, too late. Those poor kids. Their parents think that fame and material possessions will somehow make up for their own lack of character. Wrong.

Taking care of ONE child requires patience and organization. I cannot imagine taking care of eight at once. I have a two year old, and he can mess up a clean room in a minute flat. He's picky about eating. He has quirks, and I deal, because I adore him. If there were six just like him, plus two older ones though, I think that "being laid back" would have to go out the window, or we would all live in chaos. That is to say that I completely get how it could make a person (like Kate) turn into a drill sergeant and how, then, having one's husband be unhelpful, stubborn, judgmental and intractable MIGHT make a person a little nuts.

Never mind having an affair on top of that...

I don't feel one way or the other about Kate. I don't know her. I feel myself empathizing much more with her than with him in this situation though.

I agree with everyone. But I don't get what smoking has to do with all of it. Adults smoke, good, bad, ugly, pretty, fat, losers, successes. It's a vice that goes along with humanity. Stop being such puritans about it. Parents smoke all the time and are still great parents, they love their kids no less. It's their lungs, their decision. Plus, how many of you yapping about the smoking eat food with trans fats (that includes many that say they don't have any), and conventional dairy and meat laden with hormones and antibiotics? Do you work out every day? Do you use regular beauty products like Pantene and Lancome with have chemicals proven to cause cancer and hormonal imbalances? What about nail polished with formaldehyde and DBT?
