Paris began her reinvention tour with her first TV appearance on Larry King Live. While she obviously touched up her roots, she did drop her fake blue contacts and girlie baby voice for a more grown up version of herself in hopes that she will be taken more seriously. She also dressed the part, looking fab in her BCBG dress and Louboutin pumps. On the show Paris read her journal entries and made the following statements:

- I felt like this is a new beginning for me, to see jail -- and I just used it as a journey to figure out myself and who I am and what I want to do. And there's just so much more to me than what people think.
- ... it was a very traumatic experience, but I feel like God does make everything happen for a reason. And it gave me, you know, a time-out in life to really find out what's important and what I want to do, figuring out who I am. And I'm -- even though it was really hard, I took that time just to get to know myself.
- Well, a misconception that I always hear is Paris doesn't work for a living. She just, you know, gets money from her family. And I completely disagree with that. I've been earning (ph) on my own, by myself. I've not taken any money from my family. I work very hard. I run a business. I had a book on the "New York Times" best seller list. I'm on my -- TV show. Did an album. Do movies.
Ah, the NY Times bestseller. How did we forget that one? Other highlights of the interview include her disgust for prison food, admitting to having ADD (don't we all?), and claims she does NOT do drugs. Is she kidding? We've all seen the many pics and videos of her doing otherwise. She also had a few nice things to say about BFF Nicole and Britney, calling her a "sweet girl" and a "good mom." When Larry brought up Lindsay Lohan you could tell she was not friends with her. In fact, when asked about having friends in rehab, she said, "I don't have any friends in rehab." Click here to read the entire transcript. Lets hope Paris has changed since we'd rather write about her doing some good instead of just walking another red carpet because one thing's for sure - love her or hate her - she's a phenomenon and you can't seem to escape Paris Hilton - even when she's in jail for 3 weeks.

Paris with her naturally brown eyes - wow! I want to see her eyes zoomed!
1I find it hard to believe that her Claustrophobia did not appear in those crowded clubs she would always party in. I also found it weird how later on when she was released, her Claustrophobia seemed to be gone away.
-------------------------------------------------------------
KING: Are you now cured?
HILTON: Of claustrophobia?
KING: You must be.
HILTON: Well, now that I'm out of there, yes.
2=))
3I think I would be pretty claustraphobic in a tiny cold dark cell. It's not the same as being in a club.
So does this mean Paris isn't going to have blue eyes anymore?
4pink_magnetism, I agree, only that she claimed to be Severely claustropobic, which is clearly not the case here.
But i hope she does change, and now she seems more natural, which is a very good thing.
5The most amusing parts of this interview:
-Larry King asking Paris to elaborate on the symptoms of her ADD, and her being visibly flustered by the question. (I would be flustered too, if I had non-existent ADD and was just using Adderall to get high.)
-Her lack of comprehension when Larry King breaks out the multi-syllable word "frivolous".
6I would totally support Popsugar if she were to put a small moritorium on Paris Hilton threads for awhile.
Although if Paris is going to keep selling herself out there, I understand the compulsion to cover and discuss.
7sounds like she lost herself in the celebrety lifesyle...
I really wish for her that she found herself...

8It seems like Larry King did a good job interviewing her. Paris still seems fake and in denial. And umm, we've seen her writing samples, are we supposed to believe she wrote this in jail...?
"They say when you reach a crossroad or a turning point in life, it really doesn't matter how we got there, but it's what we do next after we got there. Usually you arrive there by adversity, and then it is then and only then that we find out who we truly are and what we're truly made of. It's a process, a gift and a journey, and if we can travel it alone, although the road may be rough at the beginning, you find an ability to walk it. A way to start fresh again. It's neither a downfall nor a failure, but a new beginning."
9My favorite part was when Larry asked what her favorite verse from the Bible was. "uh....hhmmm....I don't have a favorite verse..."
Geez.
10^haha i liked that part too. Whenever Larry King would try to follow up a response with another question, she'd say, "you know..." or "i don't know"
11It's a start...
12She moved to NY at 16? She was born in New York. And grew up living in both California and New York. She attended Catholic School? Really? Maybe briefly in grade school somewhere, in between moving and having private tutors, but her entire "high school" education was spent at Marywood Palm Valley, Bucklet, Canterbury, and Dwight - none of them Catholic. She attends Mass? Funny how the hoards of paps surrounding her life only caught her in church once. Do they take Sundays off? She was driving to a work related activity when she was pulled over for speeding with no lights? Uh huh. She doesn't do drugs? She's never done drugs? There is VIDEO of her smoking pot and doing lines. This woman is such a liar. Perhaps if she had told the truth during this interview I would be more likely to believe that she is a changed woman.
13oops, that was the Buckley School. I can't believe I gave in and read the transcript.
14Ginger i would totally support your Paris blank-out moratorium.
15I'm surprised she didn't wear some fashionable glasses to make her look smart. ha ha ha ha ha ha
She wasted ZERO time getting her face in magazines and on TV. NOTHING has changed! Loser!
16I agree with Ginger... And i agree with everything Padraigin has said... It makes it difficult to believe...
17NOTHING has changed...BAN paris "trash" hilton...PLEASE!
18WOW, my body must not have wanted me to watch it, I fell asleep @ 8PM...LOL
19She's fake and a phony. Why do we care?? Enough Paris! Let's talk about people with talent and hard to work hard to get where they are. People who are not famous for going to parties, making sex tapes and profiting from her famous last name.
20I didn't waste my time watching this sh*t and I won't waste it by reading the transcript. I'm a grownass woman who instead of watching Dimwit Girl watched So you think you can dance, clearly that was the better choice.
21On the radio this morning, I heard the part where Larry King asked her "what is your favorite Bible passage?"...you would think after spouting off at the mouth about how God has brought her through and how she read the Bible everyday and befriended a nun (all of these heard through the radio show), that she would have at least memorized one passage, of course then the whole interview her only response would have been..."How Are you doing, Paris" "JOHN 3:16"..."Was it hard for you these past 23 days" "JOHN 3:16"...Perhaps it's good that she didn't memorize anything!!!
22I thought the whole interview was boring. I was bummed that I wasted an hour watching it. But then, I think LK is a HORRIBLE interviewer.
23I don't think I'll be reading the article in People.
I did appreciate that she realizes how annoying that baby voice is.
24She's an uneducated liar and she proves it everytime she opens her mouth. I wish people would stop saying she plays dumb, my husband was even saying this last night. She is not intelligent, she's just a master manipulator. And good synopsis Padraigin - you are so right on.
25I didn't see it, not going to read it and all I'm going to say is
26I'm with you Catarina, I think she's full of chit!
27When is the last time the "media" listened to the American public...
Most of us
could care less about hearing about Paris Hilton, but apparently the media has some fascination with her that I just don't get. I had to reprogram myself like a kid...turn off the
tv/radio/computer and either read a book or leave the house and go outside and "play"!!! You'll feel a MILLION TIMES BETTER!!! PS: Do petitions really work...hows about we organize an
Anti-Paris Hilton March...then the media will be fascinated with us, and perhaps we'll see her reaction and that will be the last of it!!!
28I think when she said she doesn't do drugs, she meant harder stuff. Not that pot isn't a drug, but I really don't count it the same as the drugs Nicole and Lindsay have done.
29I liked how afterwards Anderson Cooper was straight up like, "Why is she famous? Why do we care about her?"
30Glad he said what everyone was thinking...
This was such a waste of time! She went to jail people...it happens when you break the law. She was locked in her cell for 23 hours a day. Do you think anything interesting happened? I am sure jail is a humbling experience for anyone but there is nothing exciting about a post-lockup interview. We need to move on.
31HAHA, Anderson Cooper was the best part of that whole stupid thing!
32I think I'm more pissed that they bumped Michael Moore, the freakin' man behind Farenheit 9/11 & Sicko...for, this...UGH!
33Priorities...Priorities. Catarina, didn't you know that Hilton and Co are way more important than the fact that America's healthcare is in dire straits!!!!
34I'm with you Catarina! She talks about she makes her own money. Not enough to support her lifestyle! She's lying! Her CD flopped big time, teenagers bought that stupid book, no one watches The Simple Life. She's a liar! Get a grip Parasite, your baby voice doesn't convince people anymore you racist rag! They should send you a$$ right back to jail where you belong!
35Didn't see it. Won't read the transcript. I'd rather just wait and see what happens and if she makes good on her promises.
36well i almost fell for it, almost, changed wowan my a$$, her favourite verse in the bible? 'emm, don't know...don't have one', i thought you were reading it, there should have been something in it that spoke to you.... and the thing she wants to change about herself is her voice...that's a changed paris for you,one with a less anoying voice... no drugs not a drinker yeh i believe that
having said that she did a good job, her acting coach should be proud.......
37Tia totally didn't recognize you without Strawberry Shortcake! Mexican & Tiabia, my girls in arms lol!
38
girls!!! I changed it up a bit, LOL.
39She seems very sweet. Glad she's realized how short life is and to not take things for granted. LOVE PARIS
40u are are so mean
41i think she really changed
she seems much calmer
she almost cried when talkin about those women that end right back in jail and talkin about building a place for them
that was so sweet
I didn't watch the whole Paris interview but, Anderson Cooper was brilliant after it! I'm with Ashley and ccsugar, he was the best part.
42yeah right, like who is going to believe that she doesn't do drugs and is'nt an alcholic?
43Oh--and I don't know if anyone has seen her book-- but it's actually really funny! And there are pics throughout of her and her sister's fashion--which is always fun to look at.
44eh, i didn't even bother watching it.
45So wait, the biggest lesson she learned is to stop using a baby voice at age 26....ARGH!!! I swear she is a media monster. Why can't they just kill her by NOT reporting on her. I don't fault PopSugar, I fault People...the "legit" gossip mag, US, InTouch, Star, Life & Style, Hello!, OK...did I miss any
. They fed her by putting her on EVERYTHING...they should have a gossip convention and decide NO ON
HILTON. Where is a "Rome Hyatt" when you did one, I'm ready to move on to the next Hotelier wh*re!!!
46*need, not did
47she's full of sh*t.
48see marybeth is nice
49I watched the interview and had to read part of the transcript to find out if i heard correctly and i had
HILTON: Yes. I definitely, you know, wish I knew now what, you know, back then. And so I definitely, when I have a daughter, I have a lot of good advice for her.
Why doesn't she remember what she knew back then?????
