Brad Pitt is no stranger to the cover of a magazine, but next month he's popping up unexpectedly on the cover of Wired. We're sure to see and hear lots from Brad in the run up to Inglourious Basterds's release on August 21, and he's kicking things off with this tech-themed interview. He said:

- On Twittering photos of your wife's butt, like Ashton: "Don't take a picture of your wife's butt. That's silly. Take pictures of other people's wives' butts."
- On dating online: "Everyone lies online. In fact, readers expect you to lie. If you don't, they'll think you make less than you actually do. So the only way to tell the truth is to lie."
- On using the phone in the bathroom: "No, you can't talk on the phone! Do you want the guy next to you to hear your entire conversation? That's why you should only text in the bathroom. Just be sure you don't hit the wrong button and end up putting a photo of your junk on Twitter. Trust me, you don't want those followers."
Brad did once say he wasn't able to operate a computer, but it seems like he now knows a thing or two about going online.

YUCK!!! I read that he uses his butt fat to fill in his pimple marks and wrinkles on his face.
1Reads like a fun interview!
2LMAO@ 1st comment..yeah, Brad's skin is kinda funky, even when he was hot to me...anywho, this actually sounds like a humorous interview
3he is so funny. I love you Brad!
4seams like a really funny interview!
5I cannot wait to see Brad and Angie on the red carpet .
6@#1 - Yeah, I remember seeing that in Fight Club!! NOT
7It's nice to hear him speak lightly and joke about things. I also like that he his giving a fresh interview, rather than the same-old same-old for him. And he sounds funny! But, it has to be said, these snippets kind of remind me of the type of interview (dare I say) that John Mayer would give.
8The art of reading and comprehending has become a dead sport.. The man is doing the interview as the character he is playing in the movie.. not as himself. Yeah it is supposed to be light. and yeah it is funny.. Stop hating for the sake of hate.. Brad is damn hot and the few tidbits that are out are funny.. YOU go Brad. and let the haters suck it. This is a man who knows what he is doing.. that is why he at 45 and almost 20 years in the industry is still on top and at the top.. Brad Pitt is the MAN..
9uh, really, brad has advice on online dating? lots of experience there, i guess...
10Do people not understand that he is in character giving this advice?? Geez
11Brad is in character giving advice? I sure hope so, because this interview sucked, everything he said sounded stupid.lol
12I'm sorry Anonymous@12:09pm, but having seen Inglourious Basterds last night at a special screening, I can safely say that this interview was NOT in character, as the movie is set in 1940s Nazi France.
And please, go see this flick when it comes out. It was fantastic!
13It sounds funny
14"Don't take a picture of your wife's butt. That's silly. Take pictures of other people's wives' butts."
15Uh, he DID do the interview as Aldo Raine.
16Reading IS Fundamental:
The star of Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Nazi-scalping action flick Inglourious Basterds graces the August cover of Wired magazine, and PEOPLE.com has a first look.
Pitt, 45, sports a wireless cell phone headset and gives advice - in his Inglourious character - on a variety of subjects, including conduct at work, etiquette and those sometimes awkward cyber dilemmas. "Who cares if your Warcraft wife is really a dude," Pitt is quoted as saying on the cover. "If it's good, don't check under the hood."
According to Wired, Pitt was intrigued by the magazine's May Mystery issue, which featured Star Trek director/writer J.J. Abrams, and he wanted to break away from the traditional celebrity magazine story. For the photo shoot last month, Pitt came alone to the Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood and was photographed by portraitist Dan Winters
17Reading is fun. I should do it more often :-/
I find it odd that he would do it in character since his character would not know what online dating was. But hey, one man's factual history is another man's toilet paper. (what? that didn't make sense! - exactly). His character's accent is pretty think, so trying to read it in that way is hard unless you've seen the movie, but it's not out for a month. Dumb interview premise. Funny quotes. /diatribe
18OMG it's not that serious. It's a joke, a laugh. Nothing deep seeded or thought provoking. Sheesh
19I so don't feel like a dork now for having a subscription to Wired.
20I really hope that people are bashing Brad just for the sake of doing so because they hate him. It would be really sad that they are taking this interview so seriously. It's obvious that he's joking. Nobody would answer these questions like that.
21I truly believe some people don't get it and actually think he answered these questions as himself. LMAO. Which, I guess makes the whole thing funnier then it already is. It's a great photoshoot. He has a great sense of humor
22In fairness, Popsugar doesn't state that this is done in his IB character, so I could see why some people might be confused. The way it's presented here, I'm not even sure if Pop knew it was specifically that character or just a goofy interview. (Since the movie takes place in WWII, talking tech is an anachronism.)
23I love Brad Pitts. The interview sounds genuine and fun. However, I don't like the first thing he said about taking pics of someone elses' wives' butts...That's not nice!
24brad is sooo funny and natural in his interviews !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
25Popsugar got the article from People Magazine which explained the concept. They neglected to tell it to the readers to drum up hits and snark. They do it all the time with the Jolie-Pitt's
26Wouldn't it be funny if Asthon Kutcher would put Angelina Jolie butt on his tweeter?
27demi would divorce him
28funny and hot
