Chandra Wilson and Jim Parsons were up early this morning in LA to announce the 2009 Primetime Emmy Nominations, and they happily received nominations of their own! 30 Rock scored the most with 22 nods, including Best Comedy Series, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Mad Men was also popular again this year with 16 noms in categories such as Best Drama Series, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Drew Barrymore's hard work for Grey Gardens paid off — both she and Jessica Lange are going up against each other for Best Lead Actress, and the HBO movie brought in 17 nominations.
American Idol and Project Runway got recognized for Best Reality-Competition Program with nods to their hosts, Ryan Seacrest and Heidi Klum. Extra nominees were added to many major categories this year, giving even more people a chance to celebrate. Even so, Grey's Anatomy only got Supporting Actress nods for Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson, while fan favorite True Blood was overlooked entirely. Check out the full list of nominees here as we get excited for the Neil Patrick Harris-hosted show on Sept. 20!

Yay for Breaking Bad, the best show on TV! And Family Guy, that's cool too!
1
for 30 Rock! I think Tina Fey is a genius!
2nothing for NCIS, again. I LOVE that show. Everybody I know LOVES that show and the actors in it. Why is it completely ignored every single year?
3so happy for 30 rock yay! It's weird though that the big bang theory isn't nominated for best comedy series
But Jim Parsons should definately win-for me there's no competition! Also excited for Rainn Wilson's nom!
4Happy for Grey Gardens. UNhappy about True Blood getting dissed yet again.
5Drew Barrymore? Really?
6I was hoping Alexander Skarsgard will get nominated for something. He's brilliant, but darn Hollywood! At least Gen Kill's nominated.
7Woo I love Jim Parsons!
