Orlando Bloom flashed a smile while walking his dog in NYC yesterday, but unfortunately his night took a turn for the worse. Burglars broke into his home back in LA, apparently making off with around $500,000 in jewelry that included two expensive watches. He's the latest in a string of burgled celebrities, but hopefully he finds a resolution as the investigation gets underway.

1that's really crappy. i think that it's one of the worst things about being a celeb. burglars can easily find out when you're not at home and you're a prime target that way. i know that it's more costly, but i wonder if it pays to always have someone as a house sitter while you're away (i.e. a friend, paid person or even staff) so that you're not dealing with this. i hope that he gets the stuff back or at least gets the insurance to cover it. that's a LOT of money
