Earlier this morning as workers set up Madonna's stage for a concert on Sunday night in Marseilles, France, a crane collapse fatally injured one person and injured seven others. Madonna just released a statement about the accident, saying, "I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news." The concert has been canceled, and our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic accident.

3that's horrible. there are so many risks involved in constructing stages that you're hearing about things going wrong all the time. such a shame and i hope that the families are doing ok.

Nine injured, two very serious, four others with multiple fractures, three minor. Sounds like a pretty horrible accident.
