i think that people have all these expectations on how good a tipper celebs should be, but most of the time they don't have access to all their earnings, and they shouldn't be chastised for leaving 15%. that's good. a lot of the time i get crappy service and i don't even want to leave that much.

1. they don't tip at the table in England. in fact some restaurants there's only a 'tip' for large groups. since it takes a lot more work to get food for say 8-10 folks out at the same time as 2-4.

2. who are we to say that he gave a lousy tip. maybe he gave 15-20% because the service was good but not over the top great. in which case it was appropriate. maybe the service was lousy so he gave 10%. just because he is a celeb doesn't mean he has to be chucking 100 dollar bills all over the place.

If this silly story about Rob being a bad tipper is true; who cares how much he tipped, that is his business. It was a $350.00 dollar bill, so $50.00 is a little bit shy of 15%, which is a great tip. If I was the server, I would have been paying him to serve him (hahahahaha)
I cannot believe OK Magazine is running with it,they probably did not have anything good on this month edition so they just say anything about Rob (they think that we are stupid ). Another magazine I will not be buying anymore, together with that Life & Style magazine.I agree with LucasScott (#17),because he is a movie star doesn't mean he has to give money away like crazy.
I wish these magazines stopped these crazy,silly stories and let us the fans enjoy our Ron without getting upset about silly and stupid reports.

All this about the tips is very boring!!! In twilight shoot somebody said that he smells badly, now somebody says he isn´t a good tipper. If I say I saw him kissing another boy, I´m sure that they would tell on TV... All of you should know how it works when you´re a star!

Well done Xavier another Aussie actor makes it and I must say he is very cute and how I pictured Riley in the book, great casting. As for tipping, in Australia we don't tip unless the service is exceptional, the hospitality staff are paid an award wage here, you guys in the US take it for granted that everyone should tip, it makes it really confusing for people from other countries.

Unless it's really bad service people should leave a decent tip. I've never even been to America but everyone knows that the minimum hourly rate for service people over there is very low as they are expected to recieve tips.

If you're going to another country it's common decency to find out about customs like this.

I just want to say that never have I had so much respect and been so taken by an actor then I am for Robert Pattinson. He has it all, the LOOKS, talent and humility. He is not conceited about his talent and he appreciates his fans. I hope he continues to grace us with his acting and his music. Robert you are the GREATES.
