Katie Holmes was back on the Melbourne set of Don't Be Afraid of the Dark earlier today. It was the end of a busy work week for the actress, but she didn't seem be minding the long hours as she laughed with a costar between takes. Her husband Tom, meanwhile, left Australia after recently taking a cruise with their mutual friend James Packer. He's back in LA, where he grabbed dinner at Cut last night. Tom also checked out a Beyonce show at the Staples Center earlier this week. He was apparently spotted rocking out to "Single Ladies," despite his favorite concert buddy being Down Under.

2I think their marriage has hit solid ground. They had their 'we'll always been in the honeymoon phase' phase, then they had Suri, then they had to figure out their relationship with each other as partners AND parents, and then they hit the challenge of the rebel Katie who didn't want to just be Tom's wife and Suri's Mom. I can't say I like Tom Cruise, but I think these two are in it for the long haul and making it work for them.

i have to agree that they are really showing the world that whatever negative thoughts they had about the relationship and wedding and all that - it's just people's need to be negative. i feel like they are really doing a great job at making things work out since they are both so high profile and are always so busy.
i wonder how long Tom will be away since we know that he really doesn't like to be away from katie all that much.
