I have had that feeling before of hey I need to get off this plane. Ususally, unfortunately, it is when we are on the descent.

Why is she even here? If I were Spanish, I'd be frolicking in Mallorca or living it up in Barcelona the entire summer. New York looks downright gloomy compared to Spain.

She looks great. Of course, I am sure lots of people have similar episodes on a plane or somewhere confining- but because she is a celeb we hear about it. I hope they don't start calling her a diva because of it- I just love her.

I totally understand if it was bad weather and she didn't feel safe. At least she didn't make the plane turn around because it didn't have leather seats!

I feel her pain, My husband and I drove from Philly to Boston instead of taking the regional jet we were supposed to get on because of when the plane was landing from its previous flight ambulances were on the tarmack to greet it, and there was also bad whether. I was spooked.

I love Penny. I panic before flight too. I've driven 1500 miles over a dozen times just to avoid flight.

Still. If I was famous, I'd throw a it-fit just to test the waters. Feels nice...(I've done it and I'm not famous or pretty!)

We had some pretty horrific weather and storms the past two evenings. Plus it was hot as hell here. So, I can understand.

yeah they said it was a new record for the number of lightning strikes we received...it was scary and i was indoors. i would have wanted off that plane too. but they probably would have slapped me and told me to shutup....hee

I used to be a flight attendant, and I still got antsy on some flights. It's natural when you're in an environment you can't control. Penelope looks fabulous as usual!

So you had the guts to overcome my worst fear of heights...that's impressive. Same to anyone here who can get on a plane and not freak out.

Problem is that if a non-celeb has a panic attack the only way they can reroute the plane is if they are arrested, seems like she's using her celebrity and that sounds Paris Hilton to me. Anyways, freak though Tom Cruise is, I still don't forgive her for having an affair with him when she knew he was married.

I'm suprised there was no mention of her near death experience on a plane w/salma hayek a while back. They both really thought they were gonna die. Dont blame her @ all.

Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek escaped unharmed when the plane they were flying in ran out of fuel.
The aircraft lost altitude and was forced to make an emergency landing.
The pair were on their way to the Mexican film set of new movie Bandidas.
Pen admitted she thought it was the end.
She said: "We nearly died together. I thought, if I go now, I go with my good friend."

Earlier this week the Huffington Post reported that Penelope Cruz was on a delayed flight between Newark and Barcelona and suffered a panic attack. According to sources, the flight delay caused Cruz to have a major hissy fit, with the starletta insisting that she and her luggage be allowed off the plane immediately -- at the expense of all the other passengers. A rep for Cruz told Page Six, though, "There was no panic attack. She was told the plane would be delayed for four hours, so she decided to deplane."
