Meira, I still remember everything about her face from seeing her in Alfie years ago. So somehow she made an impression on me, I think she is very cute, love her freckles.

Um, the only reason Sienna Miller has made any sort of name for herself in the U.S. is because she sleeps with married men. Bottom line. The only movie I can think of that she's been in is Alfie, and that's b/c someone up above reminded me. Of course the Congo visit was PR, but really, who cares? It's shedding light on a real issue, unlike Kardashian's uneducated visit to Bostwana where she promoted the diamond mining industry. And, frankly, it's good that someone like Sienna Miller goes. She may not have any real talent, but she is a tabloid fixture that people watch who can give fairly intelligent interview on the crisis affecting Congo.

In the DRC, a horrific rate of women and young girls (sometimes infants) are raped as a weapon of war. Some NGOs estimate the majority of the rural, female population has been assaulted at some point during the conflict.

You (and by "you," I mean everyone) should lay off the blogs for an hour or two and watch the documentary "The Greatest Silence: Rape in Congo." It will humble you a little and show that there are real issues in the world that take precedence over trivial things like Sienna Miller's sexcapades.

I've 4 kids, divorced and I'm still very good friend with my ex due to the fact that we did divorce and not stayed in a marriage that only hurted us and the kids. Sienna has done nothing but vacation the past year. If she really cared about the congo, she could have dedicated 10X the time and all of the money she used to flit all over the world. I don't really know if the constant vacations shows a lack of character. It's just very European. I own my own company (which takes up a tremendous amount of time), have a family (who I also manage to spend a lot of time with0, and still find plenty of time to go on a small vacation every few weeks. In Europe this is very normal. We are given a minimum of 5-6 weeks of vacation.

Besides, if you factor in the fact that Sienna Miller is an actress who has vast gaps of time in between jobs, the vacations make sense.

And, like I said, raising awareness for the Congo is raising awareness for the Congo, any way you spin it.
