After a successful week in NYC for Project Runway's Fashion Show, Heidi is headed back to the west coast. Heidi recently revealed why she is able to be a good judge on her hit reality TV show. She said, "I don't get emotional at all. I have to say I'm very German when it comes to the judging. I strictly look at the clothes." A new episode is on tonight so refresh your memory here.

Lots more pics of Heidi and the gang so read more

She's the super-mama! Leni is cute cute cute!
Unfortunately there isn't a new episode on tonight. It's a repeat of last week's "Black and White" episode. BUT you can watch little slideshows of each of the designers' collections (including Jay!)
Her daughter is SO cute!
How is the father of her daughter?
Leni is a cutie.
is she saying that germans have no emotion??? HUH?! GEESH, sure the nazi party was german, but that doesnt mean that ALL germans are non-emotive nazis heidi!
LOL thanks lauren! i was wondering about that comment too. kinda random
Personally Im a hotter preggo (cough cough) excuse me I laffed so hard I choked. lmao has anyone been able to point out a month she is due in yet? I keep asking I know I know but Im curious!
as a whole german's tell it like it is without regard to feelings. my 2 younger girls go to german school on saturday's and the first year i was constantly shocked by how abrupt the staff and other parents (many from germany) are. my husband lived there for a few years growing up but it took me some adjusting (i thought they were all rude). they also don't have the same personal space boundaries that we have in america. so while they are telling you something very matter of fact they are also moving toward you (as you're backing up to sort of preserve your "space"). here's an example "how did leelee do today?" "not good at all she has no idea what is going on in the class. also, that sweater is not very cute on a child. see you next week, ya". seriously.
LMAO Val. I don't think it has anything to do with the nazis Lauren. Germans definitely don't have a reputation for being overly emotional.
jennifer, last year i had to take jenna with me to the school one time and one of the teaching assistants asked me "why is your daughter retarded?" i was speechless. as i was walking away with tears in my eyes the principal saw me and asked what was wrong. i told her and she said "ya, the whole retarded thing is not her business. i will talk with her about that". wow, what a comforting response.
Hah Valeri! I was an exchange student in Germany and can vouch for some serious bluntness. No one there seems to take anything personally at all - they just tell it like they think it is.
Heidi is just commenting on this cultural aspect of Germany. Remember the beer commercial 'Germans - we don't do humor - we do beer'?
haha julez, don't remember the commercial but that sounds about right. how did you like your exchange program?
OMG, Val. I didn't see your response before. Wow. My hubby wants to be stationed over there. I'm so sensitive sometimes, I might just implode if that happens. Yeesh.
i still have remind myself that it's just "their way". we had wanted to live in germany for a few years so the girls would be bilingual (before autism) but now i wonder if i would ever really have felt at home in a counrty where everyone is SO blunt. i love germany, austria and switzerland, but i'm a tad sensitive about somethings too. i wonder what they think of us, lol! if you lived on base it might be different, you know all you sensitive folks could hang together!
Um, I'd rather live amongst the bruisers. LOL Maybe living on base is different in another country, though.
I have to say, though, sensitive or not - I would LOVE to live there at least for a while and check it out.
I have come in contact with some very curt German's. My daughter did a photo shoot for a German department store. I asked the lady in charge how I could get a copy of the ad. I was told that I would not get a copy and that I was not even to bother email the store or call, because they do not like that. This was said with the harshest voice and coldest face. I was amazed.....
In my experience, Germans are a very scientific, pragmatic bunch. They definitely don't bullsh*t and they definitely don't do sappy. I'm sure that's what Heidi meant!
Heidi rocks. They had a countdown for Hottest Super Models on E. or something, and Heidi was #2 after GISELLE. Ugh! Why does everything think that man-girl is so hot? And over Heidi Klum? I demand a recount.
Leni is adorable. Does Heidi have 2 nannies for each kid?
she's always talking about being German and stuff like that. i think that's cool.
