Angelina Poses Pretty and Smiles With Troops in Iraq
Angelina Jolie cozied up to some soldiers while she was visiting troops and refugees in Baghdad, Iraq yesterday. She joked around and smiled big between more serious moments when she spoke to officials about the situation in the country. From there, Angelina was off to Amman, Jordan to visit with the Arab Children's Congress, where she was honored for her work with the UNHCR. She brought Maddox along for this trip abroad — he's just a few weeks away from his eighth birthday and old enough to accompany his mom as she shows her him the issues she is so passionate about.

Lovely pictures. She looks genuinely happy to be there. Yes, the vein in the forehead is prominent in these pictures. She manages to cover it well in professional settings (photo shoots, red carpet...)

15I am neither a Jolie fan nor hater. I think it is wonderful that she puts her star power to good use and I am sure it is covered so much by the media not because that is what she wants but because it sells. That vein on her forehead is really creepy though.
16Some of you people clearly do not have an idea of what the role of a Goodwill Ambassador is for the UN. If you understood their roles and what they did you'd understand that it's part of the job of a GA to bring media attention on certain issues. Plus, it was the military that released photos and video. She did one media interview and that was with CNN. Period. The rest was the U.S. Government!
17Why the heck are people commenting on her looks when she has done an amazing thing by visiting the troops? I wish more major celebs would do the same. She has continually supported the troops, both in Iraq and by visiting them in vet hospitals. So many celebs want to shoot their mouths off about politics. She is one of the few who actually do good. I don't know what to think about her personal life, but in terms of what she is doing now she has done tremendous good.
18Angelina does TONS of work outside of the UNHCR that is kept private. She went on this trip repping the UNHCR. She went to Walter Reed, gave each veteran a $1,000 gift certificate and spent time with as many soldiers and family members as she could. That never would of been known except the wives of soldiers posted pictures on their myspace page and discussed her visit and meeting her.

Not 5 yrs since being with Brad Pitt. She's visited more countries then any other Goodwill Ambassador. To claim she's doing it for media attention is just false and so superficial.

23I like Angelina. I am not a fan of her movies but I love what she does as a humanitarian. She uses her fame and power for good causes. Nobody can do what she does just for the publicity. She has been doin g this for years, she must be dedicated and completely passionate .

36Yeah, nothing says escape from reality like going to a warzone. Brad and Angelina never said they don't have baby-sitters. They said they have 2 nannies and they don't live with them. I don't know why people keep saying that Brad and Angelina said they had no help and have a dozen nannies.

I agree with this. I think Brad has been worse for her image than Billy Bob and his blood. LoL She needs to dump him. Plus, Julia Roberts has that same vein but no neg. for americas sweetheart even though she's "stolen" a man or two herself. haha! Her veins are so noticeable because she's waaaaaaaay too skinny. Probably because of the stress of being with the idiot Tabloid King.
Oh please. Being with Brad has certainly made the media and public focus on her more then ever before. But lets face it. Angelina had a messed up past. The reason she's been dragged through the mud in the tabloids is because of her OWN behavior pre-Brad. She has a long history of bizarre behavior that feeds into the perception that she's a nut. Cutting, getting married to JLM in a white shirt with his name written in her own blood on it? That is NOT normal behavior. Angelina doesn't need to dump anyone. She clearly loves Brad very much. This is the women who said she was never going to give birth to her own children who has had 3 bio kids in 2 yrs. She said in W Magazine she wouldn't trade or change that experience for the world.
