Everything else aside, Angelina is supremely beautiful. You can take any shot she takesm, and put it in a magazine as an ad. This woman doesn't need any special light, airbrushing, etc.

Why do we always have to find out when celebrities especially this couple make a charitable donation? why is there always a resounding hosanna like they are doing something extraordinarily special when there are a lot of wealthy people who do the same d**n thing and don't get praised it. they aren't the first people to do it and they won't be the last.

So right on Nyaradzom... I don't see Sally Struthers getting the press for all those years she has helped poor children. I guess she is not pretty enough.. All that aside.. I admire that they have chosen children, the most helpless humans on earth.

Big whoop, while I find it very admirable that they would give money to charity, I find the fact that they spent nearly half a million dollars on worthless crappy art, then can only give 2 Million to charity rather disgusting.... Couldn't that money they spent on so called "Art" have been put to better use within the charitable organazations they claim to care so deeply about??? I do think that charity is very important, but I think most celebrities, them included do most of it out of guilt and a need for adoration. It's quite well known that most actors are very narcissistic. I think they are both vile and morally bankrupt and this is the only way then can rationalize to themselves that they're really "OK".

Funny how they donate $1 million right after spending $400K on ridiculous "art." White people having a picnic surrounded by starving black people? WTF will their children make of that? A bust with a bullet hole in the head? Charming, simply charming.

I hate celebrities who flaunt their charity work! ERGH- there is so many people out there who donate annoyomously... have they heard of that?! Give something and get nothing in return for it?! probably not, its all a publicity stunt for them...

Love them!! I dont think that they are really braggin about the charity work they do. There just letting people know that this is an issue and were tryin to fix it! Maybe they are tryin to get some more people involved.

Ok..usually these too bore me but I am very impressed that they are giving to Doctors Without Borders. It's a wonderful organization. It's the only charity organization that I personally trust. Good going guys...now maybe they can get some of their other coworkers in the entertainment industry to give a little back. These folks , afterall, make an insane amount of money.
Their stock just went up with me.

They don't make all of theor charitible donations known but I am glad they some of them are known. The reason why this was probably made public is because it will inspire more people to give to those charities who may not have known alot about it.

I also remember when Angie was on CNN talking with Anderson Cooper about National Refugee Day and just from that one interview the U.N. said that night they receievd over $100,000 in donations in the U.S. Making it public makes a difference.

I don't think Brad and Angie personally give a sh*t what you think of them.. as long as the issues gets some attention.

It's not like they aren't calling the media personally and saying Hey please report that I just gave $100 to a homeless person in front of McDonalds.. or hey $1 Million to Doctors Without Borders.. media is calling PR teams investigating and charities are announcing these things. And for certain issues they are making it public to draw attention to the issue not how wonderful they are for giving.

They were working with People as to the appropriate charities for the money to go to. In addition they just gave $1 million to Doc without Borders and $1 million Global Action for Children and Medicine. In addition to their other charities. If anyone uses their celebrity in the right way its these two.

I say good for them. Saying they use it as a tax ride off is laughable. I give to charity every month and I do it because people need help not for a freakin tax ride off. I mean all these people who criticize them I hope give what they can to people in need. And who cares if they make it public. Since they have charities and adoption around the world have benefited! And that is the whole reason why they do it. I mean people defend Britney Spears for almost dropping her kid, and driving around with her son on her lap, but harass these two for getting attention for doing good. I just don't get it!

Too bad it's THEIR PR that continually call the media. The media isn't calling them. Having been on the receiving end of a "hey, thought you'd like to know that A is giving another million to XYZ and isn't she/he/it wonderful?" calls, I know how it works. It is possible to call attention to a charity without telling everyone exactly how much you gave. But whatever. At least the money's going somewhere good.

I personally think they should shout from rooftops exactly how much they give and how often they give, so more gazillionaires in their industry feel compelled to help too.

I personally do not give a rats as$ if they want to make it front page news, people FOLLOW thier lead, so there is nonegative outcome here whatsover, other then people will talk crap about them.

Obviuosly, there a few people on this post that are obsessed with them because the only comments they make are just ones to try to make us dislike them. Oh, and when its a post not about them , somehow thier names ger thrown it. Way too much energy is put into that. I do not post every time I see Paris, but I freakin cant stand her.

Alright, already!! I get it. Brad and Angelina are beautiful. Brad and Angelina are perfect. Brad and Angelina are saints. I bow and kiss their oh so beautiful and god-like feet. Whatever they want... Just tell me what the hell I have to do to get these two to go away. Or at least shut up for two seconds about how great they are and how we should all be more like them.

There are a lot of us who give to charity regularly. We manage to contribute (even when we DON'T have millions left over for ourselves) to our various causes without shoving the dollar amount of our contributions in everyone else's faces. Telling everyone the dollar amount doesn't bring more attention to the cause, it just brings more attention to Brad and Angelina and is completely tacky.

They are the most, selfless, caring and giving celebrities I know. Angie had always been and I guess it was easy to get Brad to go along since he turns into the woman that he is with anyways.

I suppose they could be calling the media to pretend they lost $1M in jewelry. Or they could chase down and beat up paparazzi. Or they could starve themselves sick. Or they could drive around drunk. I'm thinking publicizing their charity efforts ain't that ridiculously bad.

Well it would not bring attention to the charities if the headlines just said, "Angie and Brad give to charities" they know what will get the attention, and like I said above good for them. It brings attention to what in this world needs the attention. People actually read the headlines that they are on. And there are pleanty of other celebs that have charities in their name, people just don't care to read about them.

Here's the deal - I don't care how much they give and to who. It doesn't matter to me. But let's not make ANYONE out to be a saint, because no one living is. And people who have an issue with other people stating their opinions really need to rethink coming to a celeb GOSSIP blog. I personally have nothing against Angelina and Brad other than the personal experience I have had with one of Angelina's PR people in regard to a Katrina charity I was working on. I'm just simply stating that the media finds out about these donations (and the donations of all the famous people that do charity work) through the PR flacks for the celebs. The media doesn't seek out the information, it is given to them. Plain and simple. But like I also said, at least the money is going somewhere good and not to Vin the Dealer or Balenciaga.

I wonder if Angie and Jane Fonda or Mia Farrow ever get together and dish.

I'm a little confused by the mean-spiritedness displayed here. Why are we condemning anyone for good works? I don't care about Brad and Angie one way or the other, but so few people spend any time worrying about others, let alone helping them, and both these individuals do. As for why they announce their donations, its because they have set up a foundation, and part of the function of a foundation is to build awareness and fundraise for its cause.

Constant media coverage can be annoying, but for god's sake, all you have to do is turn the channel or skip that blog. Don't let media saturation blind you to good people doing good works. And believe me, if anyone in the world were dong the kind of works Brangelina, or Bill Gates/Warren Buffet were doing, then we would be hearing about it everywhere.
