Nick and Vanessa were back at LAX yesterday. These two spend so much time at the airport it makes our heads spin a little trying to figure out if they are coming or going. At some point they did find time between flights to speak out about those scandalous photos of the couple that recently surfaced. Here's more:
"This is the girl that I love," Nick tells the mag. "It's tough to see someone you care about be unfairly judged. It's hard for me as a man to see my girl go through that. Everybody said it was a scandal. Where's the scandal? I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It's not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker."
Vanessa adds, "Nick's support has been tremendous. As a woman, my body is a temple, it's mine. So it was embarrassing. But we did nothing wrong."
Nick proves once again that he is always a gentleman. He gets points for sticking by his lady, but did he really have to bring Mexican hookers into it? It sucks that these pictures came out, but these two should know by now that the paparazzi are almost always watching.

he makes a good point...I kind of feel bad the someone intruded on their privacy like this..dont feel bad about the knife pics but maybe Im just a sucker for Nick!
1that**
2I thought what he said about the Mexican hooker was hysterical. It's the truth, THAT would have been a scandal. Leave 'em alone.
3Uh Vanessa...when you gallyvant out in public with no clothes on, it's not just your body anymore...it's anyones who can snap a picture quick enough. Get a clue.
4My body is a temple? That sounds kinda cheesy.
True, they know the paps are almost always watching. But in a way, its good that they wont let that spoil their sense of spontaneity. It stinks that those pics are out there lurking, but hopefully they will be kept under wraps.
5Why should they be ashamed? They did absolutely nothing wrong. The papparazzi should be embarrassed...stalking this couple in an intimate moment. We've all had naked fun in a hot tub with our lovers, there's nothing shameful about it.
6LOL..alright.
7Kudos to the both of them.
8he's always been a 'nice' guy, but she just seems trashy. she's has a little too much drama attached to her.
9AND THEY SHOULDNT BE ASHAMED!!!! GOOD FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!
10I don't think that this is so 'scandalous'. They aren't attached to anyone else, so more power to them. They should be having fun.
11hahaha mexican hooker!!! lol i love nick!!! and im totally buying this mag when it comes out......they did nothing wrong at all.
12"This is the girl I love..." Um...Although they've been together for quite a whilen now (a year in Hollywood after all equals 3 normal relationship years), I cringed when I read that! I can only imagine how Jessica feels! I know, I know the whole newlyweds thing happened forever ago but still. This girl was MARRIED to him and did this whole hoopla over their supposed eternal love and now she is working out like a maniac trying to get her career back on track while he is having hot sex in Mexico celebrating his one year love with his new, beautiful girlfriend? I know she must be basically over him, but still that has to sting a bit. Maybe I am just a die hard Newlyweds fan and it all seems a bit uncomfortable. But don't get me wrong, Vanessa and Nick are totally cute together. I'm a fan.
13Good for Nick! It's interesting that you're using the same photo agency that printed the nude photos. Bauer owns Life and Style! You know they are going to hate the paps even more.
14i wondered how jessica would feel reading that too...but its not like he should be expected to never show his love for anyone else.
15I feel bad for them.
16How is that not an invasion of privacy? I don't know all the details, but was it an outdoor public hottub, or one in there room?
Im pretty sure it was their own private hot tub, on their own private terrace, off their own private suite.
Even still, I get what yall are saying about Jess cringing at Nicks comment. I thought the same thing.
17umm if you are going to walk around naked and have sex in public knowing full weell that around every corner lurks a pap you better be prepared for there to be backlash. I find it entirely bothersome when people whine about paps as if they don't know what they're like. Keep it inside you fools. Ugh I can't stand the poor man's version of Barbie and Ken.
18I think they had every intention on doing what they did, knowing that the paps would be taking pics. It's not like they do anything worthwhile, so they have to get attention and keep their name around. Those pics weren't accidental-they were intentional. They hoped they would get out, imo. And I still dont get why the knife pics were so scandalous. So what? They aren't that bad. They look like idiots more than anything, but they aren't anything that unusual for the way these young girls act these days (which means being classless, media/attention wh@res-and not just in celebrity land either. everywhere.). I dont see how those would be threatenting to her "career" (what career?, but still..)
19how can u say that these pics were incidental???? thats just ridiculous.
20I personally think that it was total and 100% IVASION OF PRIVACY...like the Gayheart pictures...it was in a private resort in their private cabin/room/whatever...just because they're celebs doesn't mean they can't be free to do each other when they think they're 100% ALONE!
Good for them speaking up!
21What does what she said even mean?
22As a woman...my body is a temple? A temple of what? That's like some sort of christian lingo and makes no sense in this context. And she annoys me. Most people who don't want to be seen naked just wait until they're in their own room to disrobe.
If the pictures had been taken in their room, THEN I would feel bad for her.
To hell with Jess, she dumped him out of the blue, his shock and heart break was well documented, it's great that he's moved on, good for him.
And him good for both of them for speaking out about this. How dare people describe this as scandalous?? They're a couple, they're gonna be naked together, they're ENTITLED to be naked together, it just sucks for them that some sleaze bag with a long lens is hiding out somewhere trying to catch it on film. It's not like they were in the middle of a public park or something, that paparazzo was being just as intrusive as if he stuck a lens in through their bedroom window.
23amen KIKI!!!!!
24the bad thing about being a fan of gossip is that it makes you a cynic...everything is done for a reason and there's never a mistake...or people deserve what they get....sometimes thinking like that is sad...sometimes...
25Also, nowhere in their statement did they complain about the photos being taken. They just stated that it shouldnt draw attention because it is not a scandal. I think it was highly mature of them. Given the sensitive nature of the photos, it kinda is an invasion, and yet they still didnt complain.
26Jebus...no wonder people can't get over the brangelina\aniston crap...Jess dumped him...very publicly and harshly...if she's not over it is her fault...GET OVER IT!
27Vanessa is in on it. She loves all this attention. Nick s a fool to love her. She's ugly and nothing but trash. His career will be over if he sticks with her.
28They weren't in public people! They were in a private bungalow for themselves.
Just because some creep was able to drag himself to some little nook, and was able to get his telephoto lense into their private area, it doesn't mean they were in public!!!!
They are not the type to go out after the paparazzi. WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS GETTING THEIR PICTURES TAKEN AT THE AIRPORT? For stars that really try to hide their privacy, the airport is one of the places they are vulnerable. They aren't in control of security at airports, so you will see a lot of pap pictures of those that truly try to protect their privacy there, because it is one of the only places paps can catch them.
29Guys be realistic here these guys have been photographed at great distances before and they know all about the paps. Nothing in this world is private anymore and if you are going to do something incendiary like that do you honestly think a pap won't see you two and see dollar signs, i mean a pic can be sold for $250000. A little common sense goes a long way. They need to get real and move on they are making a big deal over nothing cos honestly the world doesn't give two flying sh**s about two people who haven't yet quite managed to crack the A-list being naked. And as for shock and heartbreak please please please. He knew it was coming they'd been having problems. He just used it to push his lameass cheesy album. He's such a friggin whiner. and this is not a scandal, they aren't famous enough for it to be a scandal, they need to get over themselves.
30I agree what Nick and DulceSkye said...
31In fct the pictures didn't warrant a statement it will blow over when Brit does something dumb again which should in the next 24 hours
32I'm with Nyara! You go girl!
33JILL.....ur on the exact same page as me with this entire "scandal"
34I just don't get it when people say "What would Jess feel?". Excuse me, she dumped him!!! It's not like Nick broke up with her. He's got every right to love someone else. If you worry for Jess, please try to remember that this was her own choice.
35honestluy justme paris and her jail time was scandalous, steroid ken and little miss wannabe barbie naked is nothing. I mean come now it was on the cover of instyl weekly
, yeah they are the biggest tabloid in the states right? Give me a break, paps intrude on stars'
privacy every day and I don't hear people fronting when it's other celebs.
36I don't really like Nick and Ness as a couple cause she seems to much of a wild party girl but this was wrong. They were inside doin the do who (even celebs) would rememer to close every shade and blind before gettin it on? That being said Ness may have staged it but def not Nick
And who cares about jess HER FAULT! Besides Papa Joe is ochestrating a showmance for her as we speak. If the price is right he may even be able to find someone to marry her for a year then dump her so she'll get the sympathy
37I guess I just know the reality of what happens when people honestly try to avoid the paparazzi, and when they don't. There are so many tricks to use, and these guys do make an effort to avoid the paparazzi. It is evident by their actions.
I would hate to think that our society has become so gluttenous for degrading pictures of other human beings that we have given up our rights to privacy. Does it really mean that much to you to spy on people's private lives, that you are willing to excuse any intrusion on someone's life just because they make their money in entertainment?
38im sure you would think it was a big deal and required a statement if it were pics of u and ur man nude and having sex on vacation
39i'm getting so sick of these two. vanessa is gross.
40I don't see what the big deal is. They have been going out for a long time, they were on vacation. I highly doubt that they knew that photographers were there. Paps use SUPER HIGH magnifying lenses to zoom in from miles away. Nick does not seem like the kind of person that would ever invite that sort of attention into his life.
41Um first of all Mrs Lachey, I have enough common sense (my mama raised me right) to not go OUTSIDE NAKED, at the risk that someone could see. Unless I was at a nude beach (which I would never go to). These people know the paps are after them for any shot they can get and if you've seen the pics, they OBVIOUSLY wern't hiding the fact that they were naked. They're dumb and just want something to whine about.
Clarification...I love Nick but I can do without Vanessa.
42Well it was described on here as "Vanessa's latest X-Rated photo scandal" which makes it sound pretty damn sleazy, so in all fairness Nyara I don't think they're the ones making the big deal out of it. I think they've every right to point out that they're a couple in committed relationship and there's nothing sleazy or scandalous about the fact that they have sex, and whenever or wherever they decide to do that, as long as it's in the privacy of their own room, or enclosure or whatever you wanna call it, then a pap is definitely overstepping the mark if he photographs it. There's a big difference between being papped on the street in your clothes and seeing pictures of yourself naked or having sex taken through a long lens turn up in magazines or on the internet. The biggest scandal here is that Life and Style paid for and ran the photos.
43Just one more thing to keep in mind...
We are at the begining of the YouTube generation...What applies to celebrities may also someday apply to you as a private citizen. So if you go skinny dipping in your own pool in your own backyard late at night, it would be fair game to take your picture and spread it all over the internet according to many of the posts here today.
44I really did not like the Mexican thing... he could just have limit himself to say "stripper, hooker, sex worker...."
45Ok, and I'll add that I do think the paps are sleazy for taking their naked pics while they were in their own private area but those paps are everywhere. And I'm sure they saw them peeking around the corner or heard the clicks of their camera. They can't be that dumb.
46being raised right has nothing to do with having sex!!! just cuz they had sex in a hot tub doesnt mean they werent raised right...it was supposed to be a PRIVATE vacation at a PRIVATE resort and sex between lovers in a PRIVATE hot tub on a PRIVATE balcony or bugalow...where ever the hot tub was im sure it was supposed to be PRIVATE and away from prying eyes.....these paps will hide anywhere and its disgusting
47and someone call Jessica to check out if she is ok
48How about this for a title,"Nick and Vanessa can go to he**" or "Nick and Vanessa can kis my black a**"
49there is one pic that bring suspicious to me... its sort of like Nick watching the paps.... WTF???
