Only the topless photo was inaappropriate. The other ones are absolutely fine. There isn't anything wrong with a kid wearing a bikini. Speaking as someone who has photographed children professionally, those other shots just appear to be natural candids of kids having fun. She is eating in one shot, running in another and hugging her friend. What is the big deal.

Here's the thing: my son has a website with pictures for my folks back home. We won't post anything that even has a whiff of salaciousness because of the freaks out there looking for images of kids. They ARE out there...and they are looking. Anyone see those dateline shows where they busted tons of guys for soliciting sex from minors? That's just the tip of the iceberg. Maybe Cindy didn't stop to think-- as her life has pretty much revolved around looking provocative. I hope she learns from this experience.

I find it very sad that there are some very sick minds out there. Some of the pics are very cute, but the one of her topless is yes, a little disturbing, seeing that there are some sicko's out there, and might get turned on by it. I'm so glad they pulled those pictures. It's good that it was a famous person's child, b/c otherwise there might not have been enough exposure for a backlash. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to that catalog (not to mention to Cindy and her husband!!!) - these kind of pictures of little girls are WRONG. They are a pedophile's dream.

Personally, I thought the pics were cute. The topless one was a bit much. But what's so different from her being topless & Courtney Cox-Arquette having CoCo in nothing but a swim diaper??? The only thing that might be dicey is being famous...there are probably some security risks involved that wouldn't be an issue with just some random person's child. I agree with you sweet pea. I feel that a pedophile will get turned on by a school picture of a kid if that is what they are into. Obviously it is our responsibilities as parents to monitor our children and try to prevent them from harm, but we should not be so petrified that we blow such simple innocent things out of proportion.

In addition to working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, I currently assist in rehabilitation programs inside two state prisons in Ohio. While I do not work with pedophiles (and do not believe that it is even possible to rehabilitate a pedophile), I have had the opportunity to view the actual scrapbooks compiled and treasured by some convicted pedophiles. These books contain real photos of children as well as photos cut from magazines and newspapers. There is no way I can describe to you the horror that one feels when taking this peek into the mind of a child molester. What I can tell you is that photos of this nature are absolutely what these sick individuals get off on. So...is the picture itself "pornographic"? Obviously, the answer is no. Is the child posed in a way that is too mature, too suggestive? I believe so. Is the photograph one that would encourage and excite a pedophile? Absolutely...and why would any mother want to place their child in that position by allowing these photos to be public?

god what is this world coming to? who doesnt have a naked bathtub photo, which is essentially what these pics are. you know if we allow perverts run our lives, then they have won. im sorry but if cindy wants to take pictures of her child, then its her right as a mother to do so.
