Hairspray showed off its very youthful side -- Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, Nikki Blonsky & Elijah Kelley, in case they're unfamiliar faces-- at their London premiere yesterday while the veteran cast members like Walken and Travolta stayed home. Looks like heartthrob Zac went a little heavy on the bronzer -- like, whoa. Meanwhile, Amanda looked great in her Kate Moss for Topshop dress. SMG looks like she's still enjoying her time in London; thankfully this time she was joined by cute Freddie Prinze Jr (who probably gave Zac a little glimpse into his future). Not sure if you're ready to see Jon Waters' awesome movie remade? This little clip piqued my curiousity, what about yours?

Also, why, why, why did they have to remake this? Hairspray is such a cult classic, and they probably should have left it alone.
12i don't know what has happened to amanda since the end of her show... she has changed so much but i just can't put my finger on what it is exactly that has changed so drastically.

26I want to watch this, i'm even going to the theatre, but only to see John Travolta just be camp, I think he's actually quite funny. Zac Efron looks a gay oompa loompa, him and Vanessa have his'n'her tanning sessions or what? It's not hot to look radioactive and that ring on the pinky finger is more gay than Miss Jay's walk. Nikki Blonsky is cute.

41It's not a remake of the movie, it's a movie of the musical based on the original movie. Like the Producers.
42That said, it won't be as good as the original, but I'll still watch it. I'm a sucker for John Waters.
And that Zach kid appears to be channeling George Hamilton. I almost feel like it's an homage to John Waters, because it's so tacky JW would love it.
