1Hery Briandiesel — that's intentional. If you notice there are numbers next to the guys name's, which is their seed, like in the NCAA March Madness bracket for example. In the first round the highest seeds (like Beckham, Aubrey) are up against the lowest (Spencer, Bono) so the tournament gets increasingly harder as it goes on.
