Maybe I missed something, but I didn't see how the performance was lackluster at all. I'm not just saying this because I'm a huge Mariah fan (she's had some truly bad performances that I won't deny), but this one was good! I thought she looked cute and poised and sounded great, esp. at the end with her whistle note.

I think this is completely tasteless. I just don't understand why she needs to be any part of this show. Can she not promote her own music.

My issue with the performance is the insane difference in energy between her and her dancers. They act like they're in a dance video, but she acts like she's singing a ballad. She either needs to perform at a higher pace, or stick with the lower-paced tracks.

Was it a great performance? No. But Mariah doens't do much besides walk around and sing. Ever (just look at her videos). She's not a major entertainer who lipsyncs (Britney) nor does she have the kind of music that you can really rock out to while performing (No Doubt). That being said, I wouldn't call it "tasteless" - I felt like her being on the show was actually showing support for her husband. Why else would she do a show like that?

Also, was she lip-syncing? I thought Mariah didn't do that. I thought she sang live in all her performances.

I just don't understand her clothes. Not like the woman has ever had style, but I think I wore that same outfit to a sorority mixer 8 years ago.

Mariah needs to get un-obsessed with herself. She, like so many others, think their looks are what it is all about and their looks will makeup for a bad performance (boring!!!!). The trouble is they are a dime a dozen.
I would rather watch someone who truly gives it there all - regardless of their looks or how they are dressed. Give me true individuality along with true talent anytime.

I only watched a few seconds because I couldn't take anymore of her irritating voice. Her performances aren't that great anymore. Her voice doesn't sound the same as it did back in the old days.

Mariah is obsessed with herself. But she needs to stop pronto so she can get her voice together like it should be.
