I recently treated myself to a Woody Allen box set and had a two or three week marathon of watching old Woody Allen movies every night. He's obviously had his ups and downs, both as a director and personally, but I challenge anyone to watch Annie Hall and call the guy a creepy weirdo! He's amazing.

I remember alot of my mom's friends saying that Annie Hall was so bad that they walked out of the theater half way through it was so boring. Woody Allen is a child molestor and major CREEP. My opion of Scarlett drops just for the fact she likes this guy! That last movie they both starred in together was almost torture to get though..if it weren't for Hugh Jackman I would have stopped watching sooner...Woody Allen's character ruined the movie and Scarlett's character was almost as annoying as Allens.

P.S.: As far as child molesters go, actor and director Roman Polanski is still thought of as a brilliant director yet he ran away to Paris after being convicted of drugging and raping a 13 year old girl. Meanwhile, there's an honor-roll student who's in jail for 10 years for having consensual oral sex with a 15 year old when he was 17 (which I didn't even know was illegal), but he's being vilified by people in his community now that there's additional attention to the case and he's served 3 or 4 years now. If Americans are willing to forgive a man who would be arrested if he set foot on American land, why wouldn't they forgive a man who had consensual sex with his girlfriend's teen daughter?

BTW, he's won several Oscars, BAFTAs, etc. since. If you've watched the Pianist (he won an Oscar for best director and best film), the Ninth Gate or Oliver Twist, congrats! You've supported his work.

Dvdsky, you really should see Annie Hall! It's really just a series of the funniest one-liners you'll ever hear, loosely bound around your basic boy meets girl plot but it really is laugh out loud funny, and so few moves are these days. There have been a lot of his movies that I haven't really enjoyed, but when he gets it right he gets it so right!

In the film, Scarlett plays a tourist who fall in love with a spanish guy.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem will be a part of the film too...
Here people are saying that the film's title would be "Midnight in Barcelona", but it's not for sure.

Oh God, Soon Yi is not and was not his adopted daughter. Mia Farrow and Andre Previn adopted Soon Yi when they were together. As for the child abuse allegations, some people believe them, some people think they're a product of the imagination of a woman scorned. After all, she did claim to have been suspicious for years... what kind of mother would allow suspicions like that to fester for years and only act upon them after she'd been dumped anyway?

I admit that getting it on with your wife's adopted daughter is not the ideal way to start a relationship, however they were two adults, they fell in love and they are still together and happy so it's not at all comparable to the Polanski case and it shouldn't influence anyone's opinion on his work as a writer and a director.

Kiki tee, he and Mia were involved since Soon-Yi was 10. They didn't adopt her together, but considering the biological and adopted children they had together and the length of time, it is fair to consider him a parent.

Soon-Yi and Woody have two adopted kids together now. She better watch those girls with their father. History has a way of repeating itself. As far as betrayal goes, I consider Soon-Yi's betrayal a lot more serious than Woody's. It's her mother for goodness sake. I may not have the best relationship with mine, but EWWW.

Man she looks quite fresh there. I think she's quite cute. A reasonably good actress though I prefer dunst as a person.

But the point is that she wasn't his daughter Princess. Woody and Mia had a strange set-up and they didn't live together, so maybe he didn't have a parental relationship with her. Like I said, it's not an ideal way to start a relationship but they were both adults when they got together so it's not fair to compare him to another director who drugged and raped a thirteen year old.

Scarlet looks really great here with out seeming as if she tried too hard. Love it!

I really liked Scoop, so I hope this will be good as well. I'm not a bit ScarJo fan, but I love Woody Allen movies. Manhattan Murder Mystery is hilarious. Diane Keaton and Woody Allen are absolutely brilliant in it.

Hi Tatti33.Javier Bardem actually was the main actor in Mar Adentro. The film is about the real story of a man who couldn't move from the bed and fight for his right to the euthanasia.
It's a pretty good film though really sad...

KiKi Tee are you serious??? THIS GUY IS A PERVERT. Every movie he has ever directed, wrote or produced has had some kind of sexual overture...when he was 19 he married a 15 yr old girl who later was raped outside of her apartment after they divorced..he was so insensitive that he actually made jokes about what happened to her on the Dick Cavett show and other places. (was sued for 1 million) Real classy this guy huh!... He dated Mia and adopted 2 of her children before having a biological one of their own..he was the ONLY father figure that Soon-Yi Previn knew of from the time she was 9 yrs old until he married her! That is SICK I don't care how you try to slice it...how can you say that it was 2 adults who fell in love when she admitted that their "relationship" started when she was 16? I'm sure in his mind his fantasies started WAY before that...custody was taken away from him with 2 of his children and the other child chose NOT to see him at all because of the sexual nature in conversations he would bring up to her when they were alone and she was 12 (I'm sure he was prepping her for something more)... It amazes me how people will make excuses over excuses just to exonerate someone they think is "talented"...just goes to show you why the world is the way it is now, with people making exceptions and looking the other way when someone has money or fame..it really makes me sick. Woody Allen is SICK..when someone tells his therapist that just talking about his problems gets him sexually excited then you know you're dealing with a SICKO. (FYI Woody admitted that himself)...he ripped apart a family and caused humiliation, grief, and sadness to the people who loved him... really too bad that there are people in the world who can look at this situation and see nothing wrong with it.
