Nicole Richie kept herself very covered up with a pillow being led into LAX with Joel last night. The two were on their way up to Calgary, Canada, where Joel is scheduled to play a show tonight, the only problem is that Nicole is due in court in LA tomorrow morning. The (sigh) pregnant starlet hoped that she would be able to postpone the date by sending her lawyer in to meet with the commissioner today and ask for continuance until August 5. Nicole's reasoning was that her expert witness, Dr. Terence McGee, isn't available until then. Unfortunately for Nic, the request was denied, so I guess it's right back on the plane and into the courthouse for her. Hey, maybe this will finally force her to make a statement about the whole surprising pregnancy thing?
Update: According to People, the trial will be postponed at least a day. Also, Nicole does not have to attend.

5A lot of women in jail are pregnant (and no once gives a crap about them) and Nicole should be right along with them, if there's any justice left after the Paris debacle. (Complete guess on the pregs part, but what's with the freaking pillow if she's not? Would somebody please get these celebutantes to a psychiatrist? Or to a Planned Parenthod for some contraception?)

First, she really could have killed someone! Whenever I drive down the carpool lane on the 134, I always think about what I would do if all of a sudden I saw a big SUV coming at me. It scares the bejeezus out of me. That was so, so dangerous for her to do.
Secondly, if she really is pregnant that is just tragic. How can she sustain 2 lives, when she can't take care of herself? She isn't just slim, she has been skeletal. I feel really, really bad for her child (if she is preg). Sad.

36Tomorrow is the trial start, not just some procedural hearing. The judge ordered all parties to be there. It would look kind of bad to miss her own trial because she was jet setting out of the country with her musician boyfriend.

Birth control is not expensive. She has a lot of money.
