Brad Pitt rocked out at a Green Day concert in New Orleans on Friday night, but he was up early to tour his Make It Right projects in the Ninth Ward with Pax and a newly 8-year-old Maddox on Saturday morning. The boys were back in LA by that afternoon, giving Brad a chance to rest up before another week of promoting Inglourious Basterds. Brad has his hands full with the new movie, but he still makes his philanthropic projects a priority while showing his sons the importance of giving back.

According to JJ the boys were at the Green Day Concert as well, which is just an awesome thing for a dad to do. They are adorable. I love Brad being a dad.

2Green Day isn't meant for the toddler set. brad's a tool.
3Those boys have a whole new set of vocabulary words after being at a Green Day concert.
I often wonder what kind of jet lag those kids go through....do they have more ear infections/colds etc. They don't really have many chances to be around other kids to build up their immunities to common ailments.
4Ummm getting as much publicity as possible for his new movie. Now we're seeing pictures of the Jolie-Pitts every week. After the movie is back to hybernation until one of their next films is released. They are so predictable is hilarious.
5I can't to see Angie tonight on the red carpet.
6I want to see Angie.
7The boys had headphones on at Green Day concert. Reese and Jake took her 2 kids to a concert in Philly last week. Some of you wallow in misery about everything Brad and Angie do.
8Sometimes mom and dad have to leave the little ones at home with the sitter and go out on a date. That's what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did Saturday night, enjoying a romantic dinner at Vincenti, a sophisticated Italian eatery in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood. Ramey has pixs
9Brad does something for Make It Right every couple of months not once or twice a year. Maddox and Pax are 8 and 6. Knox and Vivienne are the 1 year old toddlers. Also I've seen kids at rock and rap concerts where swearing would most likely happen. I'm sure those who are attacking Brad have attended those concerts too but don't run up to people to say what terrible parents they are.
10Headphones don't filter out the swear words. Green Day puts on a great show, but their language is in no way shape or form appropriate for the under 12 set.
I don't think Elton John and Green Day are comparable in terms of concerts on the basis of decibel noise alone - I mean aside from the obvious genre differences as well as crowd attendance differences.
11Angelina looked luminous on her date with Brad Saturday. No make-up, hair pulled back, sweet little silk tank and blazer. STUNNER!!!
Brad looked pretty spectacular to for a guy out at a Green Day concert the night before and then working all day Saturday after he got back to L.A.
12What exactly are we protecting kids from in terms of language. How about we clean up every day discourse? When you hear people swearing do you tell them to clean it up? Do you swear? Kids hear concert language every day on the street, in stores and parks. Get real!
13Kids grow up faster these days.. A Green Day concert for Pax and Maddox I think is more appropriate then Miley Cyrus pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards.
14Hearing it in the course of life is just that, I agree. Different then choosing to expose your kid to it. My kid loved Green Day when she was 8 - I never, ever would have taken her to one of their concerts and I made sure she didn't have the raunchiest of their songs on her cd player - she loved them from their carefully edited versions on the radio.
15Maybe Brad and Angie take a different view as parents. Perhaps they think that sheltering their kids from language and hateful attitudes also avoids them having to teach the kids was IS APPROPRIATE. Bard has made remarks in the past that suggest he is going to let his kids make mistakes and hear everything in order to have those teachable moments and be there to support his kids while they learn.
16oh goody. i can't wait until shiloh or maddox tells brangelina to F*CK OFF.
17How very brangelina. One of them has a movie coming out so it's time for dragging the kids out in public and having dinner out where the paps can take pics. Media wh*res.
18Love the Jolie Pitts
19So why did they drag the kids out in Long Island to the arcade, bookstore ,Grocery store Dunkin Donuts, Niagara Falls no movie was coming out in April and May
20Just sick of these media wh*res.
21How f$%##@ing predictable! Daddy Dearest is such hands-on dad. Barf!!!!
22So, Tom Cruise was a PR stunt but this isnt ? rotflmao
23So I guess living their lives and going out when they want to, but trying to stay mostly out of site is media whoring?
The only other options are keeping the children inside 24/7, making them wear Halloween masks to hide their faces when they go out (that seemed to work gangbusters for the Jackson clan) or take all 6 kids everywhere every single moment they step out of the house ala the Cruise's.
Yeah, that makes sense.. those options are so much better.
24"Brad Pitt took sons Maddox and Pax to the Green Day Concert in New Orleans. Things were so laid back Brad even chatted with other concertgoers who were sitting nearby. One of them talked to Life and Style about his Brad Pitt encounter.
"Brad was so nice. He chatted with those of us who were sitting close to him and his sons before the show started. He'd gotten the boys, Maddox and Pax, some pictures and things of the band, and they were very excited. He mentioned that this was a birthday gift for Maddox, that he was a huge Green Day fan."
"Both boys had [hearing-protective] headphones but kept pulling them off, and Brad would tap them on the head, and they'd slide them back on," Charlie says. At one point, Charlie adds, Maddox took his off and hung them around his shoulders and Brad tapped him and mouthed "Your mother will kill me," and Mad laughed at him and put them back on."
25ugly man and very ugly kids
26Kids are people, not f@#$%ng accesories. StuPitt deserves "Father of the Year" award.
27maddox really has been quite the traveler lately. going to iraq and now being away from LA for a little bit too.
