Simon was asked recently what he thought about Clay Aiken's admission to taking anti-depressants to help deal with the fame associated with AI. True to form, Simon did not hold back. He said, "Oh give me a break. Let me have a choice, I'm going to work in a coal mine for 14 hours a day or I'm going to be a runner-up on 'American Idol.' Give me a break, idiot." Clay gets anxiety when in a crowded room, that isn't on stage in an arena performing, it's like crowded press conferences. Why is everyone so mean to him? He's a nice guy and I think he's adorable. People are such sheep. They say they hate him because other people say it. That's so dumb. You don't even know him.
