Gwyneth is having a fabulous 34th birthday this week! She celebrated in London last night with help from her new BFF Beyonce, and their 2 men. Both ladies are dating music superstars, so it totally makes sense that they have a lot in common and might be friends. Looks like they're having so much fun together over champagne and dancing. The Destiny's Child star's latest solo album might well have made a suitable present, as its title B'Day would suggest. The pair shared a meal at Knightsbridge Japanese restaurant Zuma.
Then it was a night at Movida for the aftershow party to mark the end of Jay-Z's UK tour, which climaxed with a sell-out at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a relatively rare night out for mother-of-two Paltrow, but it was not the first for Beyonce, 25, whose stay in London has seen her clubbing and partying with her boyfriend.

21I've seen Jay-z in person and he is much better looking than he appears in pictures. He is not photogenic at all.

25I saw him on a street in NYC. I passed by him and he was with a big group of friends standing outside of a restaurant. He looked so different that it took me a minute to realize who he was.

31Actually the whole friendship thing between them is really not odd. For those of you who don't know Chris Martin is really into Hip Hip. In fact, one of the people he really admires is Timbaland, whom also is good friends with Jay Z. So all within that circle they all know each other quite well, even if you don't see them hang out publicly.

37I'm sorry but I agree with MsRoyalTee. Yeah, Chris might be into hip hop, and 3 of them are in the music industry, but I perceive as the lifestyle that Gwenyth & Chris lead vs the lifestyle B & Jay-Z lead, it just seems like an odd foursome.
38Well, I find every last one of them arrogant and riddled with self-importance, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that they are all friends.
I find Jay-Z to be sooo ugly. I saw a video clip where he hit a woman...they later said she was a friend and they were play fighting...but it just made me dislike him even more intensely.
Anyhoo, Beyonce looks lovely in thse pics. I'm not really feeling the dress, but her hair and makeup look great.
