Hence the actors are now trying to sing and the singers are now trying to act...and the models are always trying to break into something...it's a travesty.

All I know is that Eva was quite the busy bee running around to different companies, practically begging them to donate products to her wedding. Not only that, but she then expected them to pay her to use them in her wedding. They respectfully declined...the paying part, that is.

No doubt, just about anybody would take something free from these designers and companies. But it is still a little aggravating when a person who can clearly afford these items, gets them for free and the everyday person has to buy them at extravagant prices. However, I do understand the idea that the celebrity is basically giving the product free advertisement.

I think it's great she got the products for free...I just think it was so typical Eva that she was asking them to PAY her for using their products.

like i said before they get free things to advertise a product so when other celebs do it its ok right, just want to make sure, and if "the everyday person" cannot afford it thats to bad that is the designer who prices the products, i think people who want to buy these designer stuff should get an education or become a celeb if you want to live like a celebrity, or sarah jessica parker just put a line out at steve & barrys for people who cannot afford it

Hey y'all don't you get it? This is how it works...First you announce you're engaged then you get everyone all excited about it...that's when the designers step in. Everyone wants to be in on the hype...They know the wedding is getting loads of buzz and publicity so in order for the designers to get their products seen or talked about they give it to the bride for free. So what seemed to be a real expensive wedding the bride and groom put on was really paid for by the designers and the Mag. OK mag paid for the wedding and the designers paid for the goodies. That's the sad fact of being rich and sucks for us who are not. "the rich get richer and the poor stay poor" LOL

Eh, if I were a celebrity I would not have wanted to invite the press to my wedding--although I am sure photographs would have leaked out anyways. So just as well, plus they got all that stuff for free for their wedding guests. So do you think that diminishes the sincerity of the gifts then? If someone gave me a bag with a $700 watch and I knew they paid for it themselves, I'd probably fall down and pass out. But if I knew that someone else footed the bill I'd be impressed but, I'd be like whatever. Just more crap celebrities can get free. I am sure the business (advertising) efforts alone was well worth it for those companies though. Although my question, if they shelled out that much money, why go with such a cheap line of make-up? I am assuming it is because of her deal with Loreal? I think that was "cheap" idea--since she had a modeling agreement with them for their ad and her lipstick...

These celebs have sooo much money but the humanitarian thing would have been to donate the 2 mil they got from OK mag and give it to charity. Maybe to an African orphanage or St. Judes Hospital for children. Think about all the people who could have benefited from that money. Makes me real angry just to think about it. Maybe cause I just wrote a check out to one of my favorite charities St. Jude's.

Pink they all have charities, my point is they make tons upon tons of money (millions) both of them. Why couldn't they pay for their own wedding and donate the 2 million. They could afford the cost. I have charities I give to also. I wish I could remember the celeb couple who did that. They had a baby and didn't let the paps take photos of the kid. They had a mag take the photos and with the money they made they donated all of it to charity. I'm just so discouraged by what I read and see. Rich people getting richer and poor and sick people...well you know the rest. I just saw the movie "Sicko" and it made me sicko. so sad.

but margie how do you know they didnt donate the money, do they have to publicly announce it, the brangelinas donated the money because they were at a high point of their fame and didnt want to loose the hype
