It's official - the material girl has taken the crown away from Ms. Spears. Madge has been named the highest paid female singer in the world. Britney held the record since 2001, but really hasn't released anything in years so it's no surprise her title was taken away. Meanwhile, Madonna's selling out concerts all over the world. Will Britney be able to come back and reclaim her crown? Stay tuned...

Uh oh.
1Federline will have to give his Ferrari back....
2c'mon, brit! you can do it! i want to see your next album be smokin!
3Good for Madonna, go girl!
4I'm not surprised
5gag..
6How much does Madonna charge for concerts?
7of course she will
8Bye bye Brit. Mandy Moore, we are waiting for you!
9Madonna looks like a tranny everytime I see her.
10she charges like 100 for nose bleed seats! I wouldnt pay 50..blah for Madonna..all this talk about Brits new album and her getting cute again is making me excited!!
11Madonna, the queen!
12100 dollars. Too much if you ask me. See that's why I like Bruce Springstien. He keeps his tour tickets prices low cause he knows that people have other things to spend there money on.
13am I the only one who can't effin' stand Madonna anymore? sure, I loved her in the 80's, but now...
that picture makes me throw up a little everytime I see it! *shudders*
14No. I feel the same way. On her lastest album I only like one song and her album before that bombed, it was so bad.
15green day charged $45 bucks for their american idiot tour-- seems like a lot, but compared to other shows, it wasn't. they went out of their way to keep it lower.
when i hear how much madonna charges to watch her washed up middle aged butt, i gotta wonder: just how greedy can these stars be?? how much $$$$ is enough already????
16$100 for nosebleed seats? that does seem AWFULLY steep...i'm a true blue fan but her fans have gotta eat...
17Yep I heard Madonna ticket prices were sky high! But I heard it was worth it *shrugs*
18no joke! I paid $35 for floor tickets at an OAR show and that put a hurtin' on me!
19I actually saw her in June, my tickets were $170 and we were on the 300s section (nosebleed) AND she had shut the air conditioning off. never again! she is very entertaining but never again.
PS and no i didnt pay for the tickets, another perk of the job
20pssh, whatevs. they're showing the concert on TV, right? those high ticket prices make me wish she liked her fans as much as they like her...it seems so greedy to have them that high, i agree with babsee
21side note--- sasha, I went to an OAR concert a couple of months ago, great show!
22yea it was very diva-esq. but the show was great, just when you're not a die hard fan it's not worth it
23NO AIRCONDITIONING. lmao you know shes crazy about sweating. She exercises four hours a day. I'm not kidding.
24yea and being in madison square garden, with 50,000 people (total guess) the smell of pot, breath and sweat is really really nasty
25LOL!!! It's bad enough when you are at an outdoor amphitheater. I could just imagine how bad it would be at madison square garden
26Madonna passed The Triple Crown to Christina Aguilera.
Only two artists have debuted #1 in Australia, United Kingdom and America with her albums:
Madonna and Christina Aguilera
Christina's Back to Basics also debuted number one in Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Canada, Switzerland...the list goes on.
now britney is willing to do whatever it takes to be where she was before she hooked up with k-dog,total image overhaul, but the damage is tooooo far done, we allready know she cant manage her own affairs without the right pr person to back up her trainwreck life..shes setting herself up for more failure and ridicule.
christina, justin, and beyonce have gone to #1 success britney has put herself in her own little pressure cooker.
if she FAILES to sell more than $90 to 100,000 copies first week with her next album..SHE WILL KNOW SHES A HAS BEEN.
perhaps she could do a duet with parasite.
norah jones sold 1 million first week sales with her 2nd album..thats another sales record britney has lost to another female.
27I bet Madge wouldn't kiss Brit now!
28awesome DesignRchic! Panic is coming her soon & I'm up in the air about it I've seen 'em a million times & don't think I can handle the Trustafarians anymore...
I think she would. She does anything to sell her records.
29wow-- did anyone else notice how HOT britney's bod used to be?! stupid K-Fed... knocking her up with his trashy man juice...
30She likes his trashy man juice.....
31I guess she is...she practically empties her fans pockets with those outrageous prices just to see her @ss!!!
These people are the reason why she is living it up now...
32OH LORD,please don't let her have a successful comback. I am sorry for the fans, but her music is like listening the the budwisers frogs. I liked Madonna back in the 80's. She seemed so real not like Britney who was just a product of a record company.
33she seemed so real and down to earth when she first started. now she is soooooo pretentious and full of herself-- and her personality was always stronger then her talent.
34I don't see her having a big comeback.
35Haha, obviously none of you have looked at ticket prices for U2!!! I think Bono reigns supreme in super expensive ticket prices. Nosebleeds were $160 last time he was at Madison Sq Garden. I wanted to go, but decent seats were $450 each. At least they leave the A/C on!
36i bet Brit would kiss HER now..i dunno i think she should have stayed in the 80's along with those stupid leg warmers the 'hip hop' people are wearing again!
37Barbara Streisand ticket was $2,000?
38oppss..i bet Brit WOULDNT! sorry
39mother or god! don't these artists/bands WANT us to see them? geez!
40I don't like maducca!
41I think if Brit gets focused she could have a comeback because there's still a lot of love out there for her.
42i saw U2 several years ago at Mile High for around $60- $70 bucks. We were pretty close too.
43for brit to have a comeback she needs to come up with something amazing, i mean something that will shock the hell out of everyone and be the best selling song, i really doubt thats gonna happen her songs used to be popular back then but people now are more into rock not bubble gum pop
44Britney, Madonna, could I get in the middle of that please?
