The Bachelor is back. Again. The ninth season premieres tonight at 9/8c on ABC. Nine seasons and we get angry at ourselves each one for getting sucked in to such a ridiculous show. Luckily we barely tuned in last season but we know we have to give the premiere a shot. We're just hoping we don't waste over 15 hours of our life we will never get back on this show anymore.
However, for those of you who can't quit The Bachelor. Here's the latest on the new season. This time the show takes place in Rome and the Bachelor is a real Italian Prince! How is that for a plot twist? His name is Prince Lorenzo Borghese, a 33 year old cosmetics entrepreneur who has actually lived in the U.S. since he was 5. His grandmother Princess Marcella Borghese started a line of high-end cosmetics that was eventually purchased by Revlon. Following in his grandmother's footsteps, Prince Lorenzo started a line of high-end bath and body products for pets, called Royal Treatment Pet Spa.

A Prince? Could this mean there will really be a fairy tale ending? OK, we admit, now we are intrigued. Let's hope the Bachelorettes are a fun group. The best part is usually all the cattiness among the ladies.

this new popsugar/dearsugar/fabsugar format is driving me nuts.
1Do people still watch this LAME show? It's about as Velveeta as you can get.
2I'll admit it, I watched the very first season of this show but I think it should end now because these people are so desperate for fame, not love by this show.
3I much preferred the Joe Millionaire one! lol Watch all the gold diggers scratch each others eyes out for nothing! But even I only watched the first one.
"Like MySpace, only more arrogant"
4I think it's so fake, how do you cry and say you love one person that you have met in a couple of days, when you are among 20 other people?..come on!
5I agree.
6i can not believe they can still find women willing to participate in this humiliating experience. they shame all women.
7People still watch that boring show I stopped watching after the Bachlorette with Trista!!
8An Italian Price? Oh please, Italy has more "princes" than Paris Hilton has crabs!
9That's prince, not price.
Sorry I'm hungover. Nothing a little McDonalds won't cure.
10Even drunk i couldn't do him...

I watch this show. It's my guilty pleasure. And I'm Tivo-ing the premiere tonight.
12and contrary to popular belief, not everyone who dresses well and has feathered hair and a career is gay. This guy doesn't ping my gaydar at all, and living in the East Village, my gaydar is quite well tuned.
13Pad, Im with you. He is so straight.
14My guilty pleasure is The Swan! I love it!
15I will admit I watch it too! It is already set up on the dvr. Another one I watch is Beauty and the Geek. I am not sure when it is coming back on.
16I never cared for the show.
17My favorite radio station had a blurb of one of the girls, Erin or Erica or something like that, talking about how they were going to a ball & they all had to dress up like their fave Disney character. This girl says, "I'm going as Belle from Beauty & The Beast because she was brought up in a rich home & she only wanted to get out of the water and walk on land." DUHHHHHH........
18LOL Trixie!!! All those girls should have DURRRRR stamped on their foreheads
19i think this show totally is moving the womens lib movement BACK about 60 years... that being said... I LOVE THE BACHELOR!! OOOH ROME is so romantic and you KNOW they have to have a lot of floosies this time around- since what woman in their right mind would choose to be on a show like this?! get ready for the cat fights!
20I went to high school and jr high with the Prince Lorenzo in NEW JERSEY (Millburn High '91). He's a moron with no personality. If you watch the show knowing ahead of time that he is a moron with no personality - it will be blantantly obvious that what I'm saying is true. He did take Italian in High School - but you can see it didn't stick. By the way, Fordham is a great school for smart people - but anyone who has filthy rich parents can get whatever they want - even a degree. Rollins College should be a tip off!
