Brad Pitt made an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher Friday to chat about his upcoming film Inglourious Basterds. He also touched on a few other topics, like marijuana and his thoughts on politics and religion after jokingly talking about running for mayor of New Orleans last week. So, tell us — do you think his interview is interesting or irrelevant?

Irrelavent, I couldn't even finish listening to it.
1Anyone who's only interested in celebrities' movies wouldn't be on a site like this. Just stating the obvious.
2just because i am on a site like this, doesnt make me just interested in stars movies... i like to see celebrity news and mostly the pictures. brad thinks he is so high and mighty now and is just super annoying. when he was with jen, he seemed very laid back and just a down to earth guy. he is wayyy weird now and not even cute anymore!
3the only thing i can think of is how much he reminds me of spencer with that facial hair - which is definately not a good thing!
4lol claudine - please, no! don't use spencer and brad in the same sentence!!! lol!
5I voted for the second one but I am not interested in
6his movie either. Actually he's just as bad as Spencer.
Interesting.
7I always say the same thing. It doesn't matter to me what a person does for a living or how famous they are, what their academic/professional background is. I'm always interested to hear what anyone has to say so long as they speak intelligently. I like listening to Brad because he's obviously an intelligent guy and he's also doing good work for the world, using his fame and fortune for good causes.
8I didn't listen to it because I don't find Brad neither interesting nor intelligent. Nowadays he is not even good looking, imo.
9LOL Way to show how bias you are Pop. What about an option for the people who find this irrelevant and DO NOT like his movies?
10Brad and his Soldmate belong in the same league as Paris Hilton and Spencer Pratt
11Brad Pitt needs to shut up! The more he speaks, the more I dislike him. He wants to impose his belief system on other people against their will (legalizing pot, gay marriage), and at the same time if it were up to him, he'd TAKE AWAY other citizens' belief system (religion). Not only is this insulting and stupid, it makes him sound like some kind of wanna-be fascist dictator.
12I don't think that he is trying to impose his beliefs system on other people. They asking questions that he responded, that's all.
13Yeah, Brad Pitt is a fascist dictator. That's the funniest thing I've heard so far today. FEAR BRAD!!!
14I love pot!
15Im becoming annoyed with him now. I never liked his movies lately.Benjamin Button was all about Blanchett to me.
16Definitely need a third option of not caring for neither his opinions nor his movies.
17Bad actor.

When he was with Jen, he was smoking pot on a daily basis, getting drunk all day long at home to the point he said he spent his days laying on the couch watching TV and boozing, out of work for two years during which he went to therapy. So of course, for people like you being in the zone and into depression equals being laid back.
Of course he wasn't annoying since he wasn't able to even talk, just to dress himself like Ken once in a while to give that illusion that everything was fine. How could it be when he was high or into depression or both most of the time during that parody of a marriage ?
18Im liking him less and less and I dont buy that he will never marry Angelina until the gay marriage is a go.
19Love conquers all.
Brad is a great actor, stunningly talented. I fell in love with him as an actor way back when I saw him in Thelma and Louise. I think it's great that he's using his celebrity to speak out about issues that are important, he seems like a really genuinely good guy.
20Brad Pitt and his highty- mighty shtick is getting old.
21He should stop talking this nonsense about religion because it insults many people who are believers. Same thing with gay rights and politics in general.
He's not an authority on the subject. He shouls stick to making movies and stfu.
Ahem. He said, by the same token that "if a group of gay married couples were telling you that you couldn't practice your religion I'd be speaking out for you too." I think the only belief he's trying to impose on anyone is the belief in freedom and acceptance, for all.
It should be about freedom of choice, that's all he is saying. And I agree with him.
22I visit the site to be shocked and awed at the ignorance in this world via the comments. lol Especially how much non famous people care about famous people when famous people wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire.

You just described a complete loser with your rant. And people want to give Jen a hard time for not being in a rush to start a family with him. She has given interviews where she said she smoked pot but said there was a limit. When you're a wake and baker you've gone to far. Maybe she kept looking at this stoned booze hound sitting on the couch all day and thought., let's wait to start a family when Brad decides to grow up a little.
24parody of a marriage ?
--------
So what you're saying is that he tricked his fans by faking a seven year relationship. Wow, what a great guy! Just because he is with Angie now doesn't mean he didn't love Jen. I know it's hard for you to believe he has loved other people during his 46 years but get a grip on yourself Brangeloonie. Some would argue he's kind of living a parody now. Finally fell in love with a womb, I mean woman, who was willing to turn her uterus into a clown car for him. LOL. A few years from now he will dump her too. And you'll say their love was just too strong to last. What idiots the Brangeloonies are.
25I'm extremely sick of Brad, Angelina and Jennifer. All of them.
26Brad is so ignorant and annoying. He preaches acceptance and tolerance yet pigeonholes all "religious" people into a certain stereotype and speaks out strongly against all religion. What? Does he even understand what he's saying?
And wasn't he just speaking out in support of the legalization of marijuana? Yet he now says he doesn't smoke because he can't care for his children properly when high? But it should be a legal substance? Not really supporting your cause there, Brad.
He's an idiot. And I hate his movies.
I agree with everyone who would love it if Brad, Jen, and Angelina would just STFU.
27I found it interesting
28For someone who doesn't smoke pot, he spends awful lot of time talking about it. Brad had more money than God and zero problems so he just talks bulls@@%t. When did he become expert on everything?
29Oh Brad loved Jen all right. That wasn't the problem. He was totally devoted to her. Remember the time he flew back from a film set to help Jen look for Norman whens he lost him?
Jen had little use for Brad from the minute the ring was on her finger and the gospel choir finished their last song. She only started "missing" him and being "lonely," when she saw him with someone else.
30Not everyone who smokes pot is a parent or a parent of young children.
31Interesting. I didn't know Brad Pitt was a non-believer, and it's great to know that such an influential public figure (or at least a figure so regarded in the sadly influential American celebriculture) is talking about the need for a state independent of the influence of religion. Some of the more fundamentalist religions are arguably a strong influence against civil rights (gay rights, gay marriage), and this same influence is a significant motivation in the actions of politicians, and the millions of people who let their religion and ecclesiasts do the thinking and decision making for them (re millions of people who are under the misconception that U.S.A. is a Christian nation--it's not, as stated in article 11 in the Treaty of Tripoli; politicians who begin their state functions with prayer; Texas; W.). The idea that policy should not be influenced by religion is an idea that should not be ignored--religion is not always a positive influence (re The Crusades), people don't always agree with the particular interpretations of doctrine, and people in the U.S. don't always believe in the same doctrine. To allow religion to encroach into state matters would undermine the basic liberties under which the U.S.A. was founded. Cheers to Brad Pitt.
32He even can not act
33"Brad is so ignorant and annoying. He preaches acceptance and tolerance yet pigeonholes all "religious" people into a certain stereotype and speaks out strongly against all religion. What? Does he even understand what he's saying?"
Does he understand what he is saying ...? ... I hope so, because I'm pretty sure I understand.
This is what I would "preach": practicing/adhering to a certain religion isn't for me either, but I wouldn't stop anyone else from believing and practicing whatever religion they want. it's when those said religious groups try to impose their beliefs on others, and tell other people how to live their lives that I think they are crossing a line that, in this country, is not meant to be crossed. I would never be so fast as to lump every Christian or person of faith in that category. After all, nothing is simply black and white. But we can all acknowledge that a good majority of those opposed to gay marriage, oppose it based on their own religious beliefs. they would have their religious beliefs influence the laws of the nation and states, and that is what goes completely against what our country stands for. The same freedom that allows people of faith to practice their religion in this country, is the same freedom some of them are stepping on when they tell a gay couple they don't have the right to be married like the rest of us. how is that so difficult to understand?
34And I think that is also what he is saying, loud and clear.
#32 great post but let's not put too much thinking into Pitt's verbal diarrhea. He's like a kid that learn to talk and now can't shut up. I guess sleeping with Saint made him genius
35The only thing I find insulting and stupid about this are the comments from people who didn't listen to what he was saying before using this opportunity to tear him apart over it. But then, that kind of behavior does fit the stereotype of the views espoused, so it's not exactly a surprise.
And the reason they talk so much about pot is because it's Real Time, where Bill Maher talks about pot in every episode.
