Kyra Sedgwick and Jon Cryer were up early in Hollywood this AM to announce the nominees for the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards. TV Movie Bury My Heart led the pack with 17 nominations, while The Sopranos also cleaned up with 15, including acting nods for James and Edie, and a nom for Best Dramatic Series. New favorites also did pretty well, with Ugly Betty receiving 11 nominations and Heroes bringing in 8. I'm especially excited to see Mary Louise Parker get another nod for Weeds. Check out the full list of nominees here! Who knows, maybe this time next year we'll be congratulating Pop's new favorite show (and crush), Chuck. Or maybe even Mary-Kate (wishful thinking)

Congrats to Ugly Betty!

Somehow I find myself completely not caring about the emmys this year. i'm just
underwhelmed.
2The Sopranos are going to clean up!
3dennis leary needs to win. rescue me is amazing.
love mary-louise parker in weeds.
and sally field in brothers & sisters.
ohh, supporting actor in a comedy looks like a good race: kevin dillon, the pivs, nph and rainn wilson. hmm . . . i'd go with rainn.
TOQ, michael emerson and masi oka all nominated for supporting actor in a drama! love them all!
the office & heroes should win. although i would have nominated lost, but that's just me.
4blah, i hope the sopranos doesn't win everything . . .
5no desperate housewives??? then i'll go for the office.
6Sad that Big Love wasn't nominated
Maybe next year because this season is so good! I can't
belive Entourage got so many, that show blows right now. But really I think there isn't a whole lot of good shows right now. So many have gotten cancelled, its sad.
7Finally, someone recognized the amazing talent that is Terry O'Quinn as John Locke!
8Lost isn't nominated for Best Dramatic Series but Boston Legal is
You know what, Sugar,
you should totally have your own awards called the Tellies and let the community give input and vote on what the people really watch and LIKE!!! We can do the same for music (The Music-Keys),
movies (duh, the Movies!!!) and plays (The Theateries)...my Gosh...I just came up with an EXCELLENT idea!!!!
9I'm quite underwhelmed as well!
Devistated that Lost didn't get a series nod. Disappointed that Lauren Graham didn't pick up a nom (since this was her last chance as Lorelai Gilmore), which has been a tragedy for seven years running (that she hasn't won one). Also thought Elizabeth Mitchell deserved some recognition.
The plusses: NPH, Michael Emerson (bring it home for LOST!), Terry O'Quinn (even if i'm rooting for Michael Emerson), Masi Oka and Matthew Perry (for the Ron Clark Story).
10Awesome idea tiabia!
11Still no Lauren Graham and she has deserved it for the last 7 years. Awards shows suck!
12i love LOST too. michael emerson is so creepy in lost. he definitely deserves to be nominated, he plays his character so well. i like terry o'quinn as well. i'm so glad they didn't kill his character. and isn't josh holloway (sawyer) so HOT!! i'm so glad they wrote a love story with him and kate. lets see if they'll get it on again next season. i sure hope so, hehe.
13i hope the office wins.
14Wow, let's just nominated every actor in Grey's Anatomy, ok.
I don't care for anything except the Best Supporting Actor because my heart is torn. Neil Patrick Harris, who is hilarious as Barney, and Rainn Wilson, who makes The Office watchable for me. I can't choose!
15So over Greys. i watched it maybe twice? Bleh.
Lost got screwed, plain and simple. The fans gave it the love but the Emmys couldn't? Whatever.
16I hope Kevin Dillon wins for Entourage. Victory!
17Woot Woot for Mariska, Rainn, Katherine Heigl, Dixie Carter, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report!!!!!
18I was hoping to see Michael C Hall for Dexter
Very smart tiabia!!!
19I'll root for The Office - Steve Carrell cracks me up...it's a good show..
20I love your idea tiabia!!! That sounds like fun!
21Great idea tiabia!!!
22HUGH LAURIE and HOUSE were both nominated!! WOOT!! yeah!! more people need to see that show.. house rocks!!
23Im happy but Ive never seend 2 Men...before.
24congrats.
25Even though Studio 60 is off the air, it was nice to see the show get a couple of Emmy nods. I think Bradley Whitford should have been nominated -- he had some amazing scenes in the last few episodes of the show . . . but alas . . . it was not meant to be. (Come to think of it, Allison Janney should have been nominated for her guest appearance more so than John Goodman, but whatever . . . .)
26I'm super excited for The Office and especially Jenna Fischer who rocks the block.
That being said, NO major noms for Friday Night Lights really drives me batcrap CRAZY.
And I completely agree with the Lauren Graham comments. She was consistently terrific for seven years and the finale alone should have garnered her a nom.
*kicks the Emmys*
27I love Ugly Betty!!! As Justin would say: "Betty Rules"!
28What about Scrubs? Am I the only person who thinks this is one of the best shows on TV?
29Why wasn't Lost nominated for Drama series?? But thank god it got some love, I hope Terry wins.
I'm also rooting for The Office gang (Steve, Jenna and Rainn). Poor old Johnny though.
30What is this crap about Gilmore Girls. This isn't even a question. I'm just putting it out there. Everyone on that show is effing fantastic and Lauren Graham is one of the most realistic television actresses ever. GRRRRRRRR.
Also, where's Zach Braff? Come on you guys. And LOST?!?? I don't even know if I can watch the Emmys, as they are so clearly DISTANCED from the reality of what people watch.
