The Departed is opening this weekend, and is already being called one of the year's best movies. We were lucky enough to catch a sneak peek this week and couldn't agree more! The movie stars Leo, Jack Nicholson, Marky Mark, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin and one of our favorites, Matt Damon. The word Oscar has been mentioned a lot already and it's only October. With a cast like that, we knew it was going to be fabulous!

The film directed by Martin Scorsese revolves around a powerful Irish-American Mafia boss (Nicholson) in Boston who places one of his brightest into the Boston Police Dept. undercover. Meanwhile, a young cop is given a similar task to run with the Mafia and bring them down. The violence was a bit too much to take at times, but who really cares when Matt and Leo are the main characters. There is never a slow moment in the film which promises to keep you on the edge of your seat and biting your nails. All in all there is something for everyone and you won't be disappointed, especially given the big twist at the end! It's one of those movies you can't stop thinking about even days later. Oh and did we mention Leo and Matt were in it? This movie is definitely the one to check out this weekend.
And because all the men looked so cute at The Departed premiere, here they are one more time. Just read more

soooo watching this movie!
I'm telling you girls, this movie is awesome! It is so worth the $10!
i want to see this really bad...along with the guardian and all the kings men..despite the crappy reviews. i loved the book so i have to see it.
I live in Boston and I work in Quincy, MA which is a suburb like 10 minutes from Boston and where I work right behind our building is a body of water and like 5 years ago they discovered like 5 bodies that were thrown in there way back by Whitey Bulger. We were all looking out our building windows with chills going down our spines. But I am definately going to see this movie.
i WILL be seeing it.
no spoilers pop no spoilers!! please ..
no spoilers from me I swear!
This will be a great movie.
luciana is sooo cute... look at how adoringly she is looking at her hubby... that chick is beyond lucky...

this movie looks insane!!!!!!
I feel so mean but am I the only one that cant stand Matt Damon?! I cant stand Leo either....the only one who's not half bad is good ole' Marky Mark!
This movie is gonna rock.
i don't like the girl that plays matt's love interest. who is she? her voice is really irritating. but yeah this film look very intense and really engaging.
This is such a rip off of a Hong Kong movie called Internal Affairs... I don't think I will see it...but then again..Leo is in it...hum.....
I wouldn't say it's a rip off completely. People in Hong Kong have known that Leo, Matt and Martin were going to remake it for a long time now. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery right? It's a great film why not enjoy both? Infernal Affairs.. not Internal.
mark Marky, gorgeous.
That's true, I guess it has been awhile since they acquire the rights to remake it. It was just news to me. But, I wish they would give the original some credit. I didn't see a single word of it on the official site. Unlike the Japanese remakes such as The Ring..etc
this movie is actually based on a true story about Whitey Bulger it not a remake of any Japanese movie. Am I right?
i saw this movie today; amazing acting. leo is officially a movie star in my book after this one. also saw a trailer for another leo movie with jennifer connolly called 'blood diamond" that looks great. oh leo, after that whole king of the world this i wrote you off, too soon.
Val, you went and saw this and not Employee of the Month?
haha jennav! i was at the theater all afternoon (job) and listen to who was in the audience for employee of the month; teen boys (okay), teen girls (okay), men in their 50's (ewwwwwwwww!). nice job pimp dady.
EEEEEKKKK!!!! Val, that was so creepy!!! Please tell me the theatre for that movie was not packed....
hardly (snicker). it was playing in 2 auditoriums and there were about 30 at each showing.
SWEEEETTT! Maybe this will be the final nail in the coffin for Camp Pimpson
and embarassing. speaking of which, did you even know that the duff sisters had a movie come out a couple of weeks ago? came and went w/o a nod! hillary is barely tolerable, with her sister it's not do-able.
oh ditto, val....
I cannot stand Hil but what makes her even worse is Haylie has to be in EVERYTHING with her.
Good night girlies
Enjoy your evening
Haylie (however it's spelled) was good in Napoleon Dynamite. Perfect character for her, but I didn't know it was her for a long time. I guess she's more likeable the less she acts like herself.
