Madonna: Is She or Isn't She Adopting?
So Madonna may not have adopted a child in Malawi yet, but it sure looks like from these pics that she is very taken with the children there. Could one of these boys be the one she wants to adopt? She spent Thursday at an orphanage with about 50 children, even handing out copies of her children's book The English Rose. But when asked about her adoption plans, her publicist still offered no information. Here's more:
“I have no information or confirmation regarding Madonna adopting an individual child. She’s kind of adopting an entire country of children,” Rosenberg said in an e-mail to The Associated Press in Los Angeles. “She is on a private visit to Malawi and is involved in the building of an orphanage/child care center as well as other initiatives to help the children of that country who have lost parents to AIDS.”
Andrina Mchiela, a senior official with Malawi’s Ministry for Gender and Child Welfare, said the government was awaiting news of the singer’s plans. The ministry said Wednesday that it expected Madonna to file adoption papers Thursday. “We haven’t got anything from Madonna’s people yet,” Mchiela said. “As far as we are concerned her plans (to adopt a child) remain unchanged.”

Do it Madonna! Just do it! It´s such a good thing if someone is having the oppinion to do that! I would do it immediately!

8Give me a break. What is Madonna trying to reinvent herself? This is one women whom I do not believe has anyone else but her own agenda at hand. How about passing out some food? Some medicine.. oh right...your book.. that you wrote? YEAH RIGHT!!! Madonna is a HAG!!! Using little kids to self promote is disgusting!!!! She leaks out that she might adopt so the press follows her there to watch her hand out her book and talk about opening an orphanage.. She is a done in my book!!
9I have no real interest in whether or not she's adopting but have you noticed that when these stories are planted in the news the publicist always responds with the :global adoption, all children are her children" crap

I think it is pretty cool that someone that has made so much freakin money off of the public( shes gotta be like in the top 5 richest entertainers), that she is giving back in a big way.
I figured out why she is all about Malawi.Remember Live Aid 2 where they brought out that 18 yr old girl from Malawi while Magde was on stage, and she was one of the babies that was saved from Live Aid ( 88') Then Madonna practically made out with her! Remember?
11Honestly I cannot stand Madonna. And I don't think the woman does anything that isn't for publicity or shock value or both. Which puts her at the same level as Howard Stern, in my book.
BUT, I don't care what she's doing it for, helping out children in need is a wonderful thing to do.
