lol nyaradzom2001! Well I'm curious about this court case that pearl is involved with.. I want to know why now? Why suddenly now?? Some people have questioned it in other blogs. Now I see Pearl with them I sense what they're trying say...I don't want to spark debate so you go and do the research yourself in other blogs about Pearl and what people really think about this court case. I am very cynical about it all. But then again when there's money involved I always am.

I think Shiloh's cuter, but I'm biased because she has the exact same coloring and look that my own kids have.

A firm here in town is representing MP in her suit. The firm also has a suit filed against Saudi Arabia for 9/11 victims. I don't really know how I feel about it all. But if the suit can uncover hard evidence that Pakistani charities are funding Islamic extremists, then I figure that is a good thing.

Hmm I'm not so sure about this case because it took her this long to get it done and out there. did she know about the bank/charity before? And it's not like this is news that banks/charities are bank rolling extremists. It's only to be expected especially after the red mosque issue. So if she wins what will she have achieved?

Yeah I know sashak..I just want to know why now?? Why she's waited this long and suddenly now? Some folks are saying it's to do with raising the profile for the film and helping the lead to gain her credibility. They haven't released the film in europe yet, they're waiting for the bafta which is like a pre oscar test for hollywood. I think paramount vantage is hoping to get nominated in UK. The director is english and films like this do better in europe than in america. The court case helps with publicity for this film. It's a great way to say hey here I am and I am very serious about it all. They're pretending they haven't screwed up. Well but that's my negative view on it.

Pearl lost her husband in Pakistan to a beheading that was televised around the world.

There is so much going on in the backdrop of this tale, God knows why she's doing what she's doing, but I'm pretty sure it's for her own personal reasons that have nothing to do with fame.

It's pretty sick the way people make judgments about someone without walking in their shoes. God knows what you would do and when you'd do it. Because, what really do you do in this situation? What did our country do? What did citizens of the U.S. do when one of it's own was beheaded by Islamic extremist in Pakistan? Not much.

It has to be painful in a way I hope to never understand and pretty confusing as to how to deal with. Keeping the memory alive is a hard task especially in a country that has a 15 min. attention span and is quick to forget when even news of little importance comes into view, e.g. Paris Hilton going to jail, etc. We can handled Paris Hilton, but don't really care to handle what happened to Daniel Pearl, or really understand it, or know what it all entails. Paris Hilton is easier.

And really, what gets me is all the criticism women like Pearl are getting for how they are dealing with what happened to them. The widows of 9/11 were criticized too. It seems to me that they get more flack than the arbiters of the actual war.

Where are MPZ? Without them it's just BAS. Adam Pearl is adorable. In one of AJ's interviews, she said Zahara was madly in love with Adam. I read Mariane's articles and I completely see why they're friends.

I have sued people before lula29 (but I'm not going to share my life here with everyone). I know people have reasons to ask for justice. I'm not against it. What I'm wondering about is why now??? The timing is fishy to me. I don't read about the widow of 9/11 not because I don't give a sh*t but because I can be hectic. Citizen of the U.S, well I tell you what I would do, I wouldn't choose a white chick to play me if I were black (that's just me personally I understand why people find it okay but to me it's so not and it's offensive). I also wouldn't sue right after the movie has just tanked. If I wanted to sue I would have done it at the beginning. She has had this info' about the banks for sometimes, to me it doesn't make sense why now?

It seems she's not over what has happened but then I was under the impression that she was. I think Nelson Mandela is so respected because he's moved on. He could have said a lot of things about apartheid in south africa but he chose to move on. He forgave and move on.

The truth and reconcilation was set up to heal after apartheid. Well I don't know if it's worked for the victims or not. But the message was clear, "peace". I think there're better ways to deal with terrorism that what she's doing now. But I understand if you feel differently lula29. Of course you're entitle to disaggree with me.

I guess what I'm saying is closure to me is how you deal with yourself. There is no justice in this world and the sooner you can deal with that the better. That's what someone has told me and I thought she was mad! But now I know she was absolutely correct.

I know that there has always suspicion that these charities & the banks have helped fund extemism, I just meant hard evidence like actual banking records & whatnot.

As for her motives, I have no idea & don't really care to speculate.

Why do you want the 2 people that you don't know, that seeem in love and happy and have 4 kids to break-up?

Even if they break-up, they will always be conected,because of theire kids.

And why doesn't Angelina "care much for this country..."? Because she criticizes it? Because althought she is an american she loves other countries and other cultures? Because she has an open mind to and of the world?

If only more people were like her.

Angelina has her flaws like everybody, has made her mistakes (lives with them) but is an amazing women. Have you read her book, Notes from My Travels : Visits with Refugees in Africa, Cambodia, Pakistan and Ecuador (all the money from the sale go to the UN)? She is not a writer, but that doesn't matter because it's a book from the heart, very raw and honest. And throught the book we can see Angelina grow... It's a great book.

Some of those girls we see in the news should do the same that she did, step away from HW and travel the world.
