UPDATE: Lohan's attorney Blair Berk has issued this statement to TMZ: "Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care." Her court date has been set for August 24th, the same day as her other DUI trial. It was business as usual for LL yesterday afternoon as she went to a Tango lesson for her upcoming movie and shopped with a friend. Just hours later, she was involved in a high speed car chase ultimately leading to her second DUI (with cocaine possession) in the past three months. According to police, the SUV Lindsay was chasing was driven by her ex-assistant's mother. Lindsay's assistant quit earlier in the evening, called her mother to be picked up at Lindsay's, and when she left, Lindsay started chasing the car. The assistant's mom called the cops on Lohan and told them that she was driving towards the nearest police station. The police caught up to the two SUVs in the Civic Center Parking Lot, close to the police station. She is so, so lucky that no one was injured.
