Jude Law is on the cover of the November edition of the UK GQ and he would like us to know that he never wanted to be a Golden Boy, so he doesn't care if we no longer think he is one. Well OK then. He and Sienna certainly have cleared up a lot of things for us this week. Here's more from GQ:
"It sits very uncomfortably with me," he'd said. "Maybe it's a safety mechanism but I see myself for what I am; a dad and an actor, and those are two very harsh, big truths. All the crap that happened to me came out of a mistake and a situation and a decision that was regrettable, and people say, 'Oh, you're not so golden now.' Well, I never said I was f*cking golden anyway."

Ummm...okay Jude whatever. I don't even know what to say to this one...
1Trust me, people at Paramount had such a hard on for this guy. When Sky Captain came out the big wigs were practically offering him anything before they even had results. I don't know how his stock got so hot. He hasn't been in any runaway hits. He Okay looking but there are plenty of good looking men in Hollywood. What makes him so special that Presidents of Movie Studios would get on there hands and knees to hire this guy.

3His best movie was Gatica, I think it's all been downhill since then. He's just a cute, smarmy British guy. A blonder, less amusing Hugh Grant. Don't have anything against the guy, just really over his media overexposure.
4Why is he so full of himself? He's not even that cute I actually didn't know who he was until he cheated on whats-her-face. This makes me think even less of him then I did before, which I didn't think was possible. Hopefully he'll disappear soon.

11It's not our place to forgive him! Never was our place. His girlfriend obviously forgave him, and no matter how much you hate it, many people decide to forgive their partners.
And to the question as to why studios want to work with him: it's because he is one of the best actors out there. Just rent "Cold Mountain." I'm almost positive he was nominated for an Oscar for that one.
Cheating is wrong, but you can't judge someone forever just because they cheated on their partner because we all make mistakes. Unless of course, you personally know him.

13He's a loser not only did he cheat but with the ugly nanny around his children. And I'm sure she wasn't the only one, just the only one that wanted to make money off of it. He's a dog and he owns up to it he didn't ask to be golden anyway. Lol, what a load of bull. PS I couldn't care less about Sienna either she does her own share of dirt and always seemed to be using him anyway.

Goodgirl, I agree. His acting ability is phenomenal. I think he's one of the best actors of this generation. And he is gorgeous! His eyes alone are amazing. I don't like what he does with his personal life, but he's no worse than Brad Pitt, or Hugh Grant or any of the other actors who make poor choices.

23I don't know that I'd consider Jude Law such a phenomenal actor. He's OK and has been quite good in a few roles, but the jury's still out on him as far as I'm concerned. I don't care that he screwed the nanny, whatever. He had an open marriage with Sadie Frost, probably figured it'd all be cool with Sienna since he was, you know, Jude Law. He may have never SAID he was golden, but I'll bet you he thought it plenty of times.
