John Mayer and Selma Blair (hey, they rhyme!) posed for these intimate portraits as part of a Fall ad campaign for The Gap. The series, shot by Annie Leibovitz, is called Classic Redefined and has each of the celebrity models showing off a signature Gap piece — like John in the sweater vest and Selma in the deep v-neck. I can't wait to see the full set of ads (including actors from Forest Whitaker to Lucy Liu), which will run in September issues of fashion mags and in Gap stores. More importantly, how great does Selma look and how smoldering is John? Yowza.

35HAHA Mayer only rhymes with Blair if you have a southern-ish accent, I think. I'm from California and I say it MAY-err, but I think that someone from the South would say MAIR (one syllable), which would then rhyme with BLAIR. Hehe!

In my experience, Southern would be the accent that adds a syllable.

42Wow, he looks like the old John Mayer when he first came on the scene..he looks really good. Selma looks amazing, but I always think she looks good...didn't care for her blonde hair but she seems to be able to pull off a lot of looks and styles and wear them well.

47beautiful shots of them -- Selma is gorgeous, I've never seen a bad picture of her; John is okay, but in this here photo I have to agree with the majority and say that he's gorgeous, too! Kinda James Deanish (if James Dean had dark hair and tattoos and a sweater vest and... never mind).
48I love Selma's hairstyle: it fits her so very well. And John Mayer was always too good for Jessica Simpson, even from the beginning.
