Kate Hudson is hard at work in Pasadena on the set of her directorial debut, a short film based on a reader-submitted essay for Glamour, but unlike many first time directors making shorts, she's got some serious star power in her hands. I guess it doesn't hurt to know people in Hollywood. Her movie stars her surrogate dad Kurt Russell, the surprisingly older looking (she's growing up!) Dakota Fanning and Virginia Madsen. It must feel weird for Kate to be the boss for a change, especially to the man who raised her. Hey, she definitely looks cute doing it.

13Umm...savilerow i don't think anyone want dakota to be the next drew barrymore. as much as i love drew, but she had a rocky childhood and even early 20s. I'm more comfortable comparing her Jodie Foster (another former child star) than Drew.
As for Kate, this seems like a great career move for her. Lately she has been killing her career with all those crappy movies like You, Me and Dupree and possibly a movie with Dane Cook. Whatever happened to the Oscar nominated actress that she started out?

She is naturally beautiful and she busts her as* to have that bod so good for her!!!
