Is J Lo giving Johnny wedding advice? Rumor is that Mr Depp may finally be ready to marry his longtime girlfriend and mother to his children, actress Vanessa Paradis. The actor has been engaged like 5 times to other ladies, but will now be making it official with Vanessa. Apparently they're planning a small wedding in Vanessa's home country France. The two have been dating for 8 years, but Johnny was just never into the idea of marriage given his relationship history. Here's more:
"Johnny and Vanessa are planning to finally get married next summer at their villa," an American source told the Daily Express. The star of the Pirates of the Caribbean, a former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, was previously engaged to actresses Jennifer Grey and Winona Ryder. In the mid-eighties he was briefly married to musician Lori Anne Allison.
"He went off the idea of marriage because of his relationship history." A friend said. "But he'll do it if Vanessa or his kids want him to. Johnny and Vanessa are deeply connected but the children have made them really close. They're happier and more in love than most married couples."

7love him! but i feel like celebs who aren't married and have kids already and are in long term relationships should stay as is. look at matt leblanc. he was with his gf for 5 or 6 years, had a daughter then got married and look at that they're already divorced. this is only my advice for celebs. not actual humans
8Blonde - I think that's good advice for humans, too. I used to work with a guy who got married after 9 YEARS of dating. They were divorced within a year.
I think when people have been dating for SO long and just fine with it, getting married is often a bandaid for a disintegrating relationship.

18I don't really get the whole idea of marriage after such a long term committed relationship. He is with her because he wants to be and so is she. Even if you get married there is no guarantee that you will end up happily ever after. I think if it ain't broke don't fix it. Maybe I am jaded also, after 6 years of being with a guy that wanted to get married, I ended up I guess "giving into the urge" and then about 2 months later, he bolted. I guess I might be a tad but jaded... but whatever these two decide, I wish them the utmost happiness.
19Don't do it Johnny! They'll be divorced in no time! I agree getting married after dating so long is like a curse hardly ever works. I also heard it's her that didn't want to marry him. Johnny is a sweetheart and always wanted to be married. That's why he got engaged so many times. He just wanted a woman who would love him and have his babies. Jumping on the bandwagon here, I too read an interview with him where he said that he has been ready to marry her for years, and has in fact proposed multiple times and gave up because she kept saying no. But said he would marry her the second she was ready. I think this "friend" isn't quite so close to Johnny as he's claiming.
