Usher and his fiancée, Tameka Foster, suddenly canceled their wedding, which was scheduled to take place yesterday at LA Reid's mansion in the Hamptons. Back in June, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child this fall, but apparently their shotgun nuptials proved to be a bit too much to handle. Usher's rep released this statement:
"It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected."
There's no word as to whether or not Usher and Tameka are still together at all or, obviously, why they called their big day. I assume we'll hear more as this story develops.
Update: Some say it was about his mother, or a pre-nup, or his finding out about her criminal record. Others say he just changed his mind because they had different visions of what they wanted for the wedding.

this is kind of weird....if they were beginning to have issues you would think they would have cancelled the wedding days before it was going to take place.

3Why do so many of these celeberties have major issues? A Criminal record is something that the average couple (most) would know about the other person that they're with anyway.
Why wait until a family dinner last weekend, just to ask about her TRUE past...so I heard any. Usher should have asked alot sooner. It would have saved him time and money.

11well i heard it`s beacause they found out she`s not really pregnant ..that could just be a lame rumor though.
12supposedly, she was in a very bonnie & clyde relationship which ended up in the guy's execution-style murder. i don't really care why. ideally, she's not pregnant.
13Praise God! Usher hopefully has seen the light regarding his ex-con, gold-digging baby mama! And if you visited the black gossip sites, like bossip and concrete loop, you'd get the lowdown on this shady relationship stretching back to last winter.

I hope this helps. I don’t keep up with the couple so I am no fan of either ones. But a friend asked me to check out TMZ news to see what was going on and I did. While there someone mentioned a criminal record being revealed and they left a few links. And this is the link that I read. I have only seen two websites, and then I stopped. 23Between the National Enquirer article, Media Take Out blasting it on the web, and Wendy Wiliams puttin the story on blast between 5-6 pm on the day before the wedding, I was PRAYING the wedding would be cancelled. She's got a record for wefare fraud, she's 9 yrs older than him, she's already got 3 kids, AND she as the other woman when was with Chili. Can't turn a ho into a housewife, even if you are gay and need a beard.

33I read that article - so what if they registered for stuff? That's what a couple is supposed to do! If their guests want to give to charity, they can do it on their own time. Why criticize a couple for asking for stuff they want when that's what the registry is FOR?
