Earlier this week was the premiere of Clint Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers starring Ryan Phillippe, Paul Walker, and...Jason Priestley? Talk about a comeback. The former 90210er is not really who I think of when someone mentions Oscar buzz, but that's what this film is generating. Not a surprise with Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg both at the helm. Should be an exciting Oscar race this year with The Departed and Flags. Will Eastwood steal the gold from Scorsese again like the year when The Aviator lost to Million Dollar Baby?
The event was a bit of a disappointment due to the fact that Ryan didn't show! What's that about? Maybe he's taking an early retirement. I guess Paul Walker will have to do for now. Wow, never thought I'd see the day that 'Paul Walker' and 'Oscar Buzz' were in the same sentence. I really, really don't like that guy. I've made reference to this before, but does he not remind anyone of 'that guy' in high school, that would tell his buddies that you had sex with him, even if you didn't? He gives me the serious heebies. I can't stand his acting or his 'surfer dude' voice. Gross.
1I heard he had a small role in it(he's not one of the main characters) but critics said he did a pretty good job.And they also said Ryan is amazing in it!!Plus that's a Clint Eastwood movie i don't think he hired Paul or Ryan just cause they have pretty faces.....the man is wayyyyyy to smart for that and he's at the top of his game.They are already talking about the oscars

3I will certainly attest to Clint Eastwood being a fantastic actor and director. I'm sure you're right, he wouldn't pick some rando off the street and try to pitch him as a real actor. I sincerely hope that Paul is only in a small portion of this film, because even if he did do an amazing job, I still can't stand him. Sorry, I can see you're a fan, but I'm sure we can at least agree on hot Ryan, can't we?

25I seriously dont know how any of you are "cpreeped out" or hate Paul Walker...are you nuts!?! He is the most real actor out there and is amazingly gorgeous. I met him on a filming location once and he is so outgoing and down to earth, he is just incredible.
