Everyone's favorite on-screen Father of the Bride walked down the aisle this weekend to marry his longtime girlfriend, Anne Stringfield. The couple have been quietly dating since 2002. Anne is a journalist for Conde Nast publications like The New Yorker and Vogue. E! Online reports: "the ceremony took place at Martin's Los Angeles home, guests of the big day were not informed ahead of time that they would be witnessing a union and were told only that their presence was requested for an intimate dinner party at the comic's abode." Congrats to the happy couple!

16This is wonderful…I have been in love with this man’s pure comedy since I was a little girl. He always seemed like one of the most positive celebrities. He is the older kind that has it together in public (unlike the young ones these days) that I always speak about. We need the new comers to HW to be just like him. Steve’s a good guy. Now I have no idea who this woman is, but I like her already. And I wish them both the best of luck.

42He was married to Victoria Tennent, his LA Story costar, but they divorced ages ago. Good for these two, the fact that you never heard anything about them speaks volumes. Age differences happen and theirs is considerable, but it seems less flashy then most actor "starlet" pairs. Congrats!

47I'm happy for them but somewhere, a little part of me is dying. I had hoped that someday I'd meet Steve Martin, and we'd chat about his stories in the New Yorker, and we'd bond over our particular brand of humor (tinged with sadness!) and he would fall in love with ME. That said, his wife is a smart, bright lady from everything I've read. I'm glad he went for an intelligent and pretty woman and not some PYT with the IQ of a paper clip.
