Angelina and Co have been mobbed by the cameras in India, and it caused a little accident on Wednesday. In an effort to avoid a swarm of cameras, her driver hit a motorcyclist while Angelina was in the back of the car reading her book. All involved are OK and doing well besides a few little bumps and bruises but maybe it's time to let the woman breathe a little. No one wants any more accidents, especially a humanitarian like Angie.

More pics from the little accident so read more

Yikes, glad no one was seriously injured.
1And let the Brangelina hate and debate begin...LOL I'm sure someone will blame her for this accident.
2I know, here goes another long string of bashing AJ...
3People just need to leave her the F--- alone!
Not so fast. The media in Mumbai is reporting that the paparazzi hit the bikers. But of course someone is blaming Angelina and her security guards.
The paparazzi assembled at Pune are showing no signs of weakening. Yesterday a cluster of them, 20-odd packed into five cars and a few more in autorickshaws, chased Angelina Jolie all the way from Le Meridien to Aundh. Angelina didn't appear too perturbed, as she sat with her head studiously tucked into the book, Crimes of War.
As they reached Aundh, however, both the chasers and the chased came up against a unique roadblock – a pack of donkeys. Everything came to a standstill then, and the photographers could get a picture. In the hurry to get ahead, however, one of the paparazzi cars dashed into a passing motorbike, overturning it and injuring the couple riding on it. Residents of Aundh, a normally sleepy suburb of Pune, mustn't be too happy with the extravaganza unfolding in their backyard, anyway. Now there's speeding paparazzi posing a risk to their life and limb…
Meanwhile, there’s also rivalry brewing between the paparazzi. Apparently, some of them who were in an auto and couldn't get near enough Angelina's Merc because the way was being blocked by another paparazzi car, flashed a knife at the photographers in the car.

4I don't know, I've seen film of the streets in India and frankly I'm shocked EVERYBODY doesn't hit somebody. Talk about crowded.
5yikes
6oh and one thing I want to point out. The effing paps pulled knives on each other. They're freaking nuts.
7true Jen. I don't care what anyone says about celebs deserving paparazzi, this is out of control. Especially when innocent bystanders and being injured for a picture
8What happened to the paparazzi of yesteryear? Back in the days of glamour and class they didn't do this stuff! They didn't have nearly the access and they didn't treat stars like they do now.
Believe in Magic!

10I'm sure Angie will be okay, the word humanitarian manages to get into every post. lol
"Like MySpace, only more arrogant"
11this is ridiculous! I love AJ and all, but she is just a lady w/ three kids & a boyfriend. there are chicks like that everywhere. this is how & why Princess Di died...
12as a side note, does anyone else feel like she is pretending to read that book!?
13i dont think i could handle that life for 5 seconds. i would go out of my mind@
14No one deserves to be hounded like this. Not Angelina, not Lindsay Lohan... It's sad that they are walking mealtickets for so many desperate and unethical people out there.
15shes so cute
16well we are the ones to blame .. the rags pay big money for shots of them so u sort of cant blame the paps entirely
17there's another angie story in USA today:
GENEVA (AP) — Angelina Jolie says it is shocking that refugees are being turned into hate figures in rich countries in an attempt to win elections or sell newspapers.
Even worse, the Academy Award-winning actress and United Nations goodwill ambassador said, was that people in the West did not seem to care.
"It's a scandal, really, in such a rich world, that we are not even finding a way to help feed refugee families properly," Jolie wrote in an op-ed piece released this week in Refugees, a quarterly magazine published by the U.N. refugee agency.
She said Europeans, who only six decades ago were confronted by 40 million refugees in the aftermath of World War II, have turned their backs on victims of tyrannical regimes. Jolie also criticized Americans and Australians for failing to improve the situation of the many migrants who have died trying to emigrate to their countries.
"We will put Band-Aids over the most gaping wounds because they look a bit ugly," even as UNHCR battles to meet funding requirements for its annual programs helping 20 million people, Jolie said.
"Agencies like UNHCR should not really have to struggle to scrape a few tens of millions of dollars together to help rebuild shattered nations — like Angola, Sierra Leone, Liberia and south Sudan," Jolie said. "But we won't pay for a full cure."
Jolie, who has made over 30 missions for the agency since becoming goodwill ambassador in 2001, described her shock over a photo printed in an edition of Refugees earlier this year capturing a couple bathing on a beach while disregarding a black man washed ashore.
"They can't see the stark reality lying a few yards further up the beach," she wrote. "We are all — myself included — behaving like the couple sitting under their umbrella on the beach, gazing studiously out to sea."
18Italygal,
19Angie wrote that for Refugees magazine. That story about the couple sunning on the beach with the dead body only a few yards away is chilling.
She will more than likely alienate more with that statement than sway public opinion to the issue. As much as I love her humanitarian works..I think she is letting her frustration at the lack of change effect her message. It works better when you calmly educate vs attack. Though the imagery is important.. maybe that is why she bought that art picture of the couple picnicing surrounded by starving african children..as a daily reminder to be thankful and do what you can.
20i saw that pic as well and truly unbeliaavble.. does anywhere know where that was..
21Great point Ima. I agree with you
22I totally agree, Ima. I'm sure its frustrating for her, but at the same time, its hard for countries to just absorb tens of thousands of people without affecting anybody. Those affected will probably be very angry at her comments.
23She's so intelligent! I just love it when she shows how caring and compassionate she is. I think the things she's seen have changed her and the kind of person she is.
Believe in Magic!
24Look at Calif, Arizona and Nevada trying to absorb all of the illegal aliens. Even on that scale it takes a toll. Look what happened with New Orleans.. we had difficulty finding a place for our own citizens who were displaced. At the same time look how quickly many nations were able to get food, water, medicine and shelters set up in Indonesia after the tusnamis. We need to find an answer quick, but the problem is finding the right question.
25Exactly. And human nature being what it is, we don't like to be lectured or reprimanded. Call us nice names and we'll do anything! LOL
26there is so much suffering in this world & its so easy to become angry when there are countries that waste and waste and waste and so many people who think only of themselves and never of anyone else. I get angry about it all the time.
27don't know how articulate that was, buts i get pissed just thinking about it in front of my monitor...
Ima, sorry to be a b*tch-- but i had to correct you: there are many many more ILLEGAL mexican immigrants in cities such as chicago, NY, and even minneapolis then in az, california, or nevada. I was a US History Borderlands Major in college, so we had to study a lot about the border.
28No worries lauren.. but I am talking about the ones that are streaming over the unpatrolled desert border right now..huge issue here locally. Thus the discussion of the "great wall" they are planning to build.
29not a fan of Angie and brad, but i don't blame them at all. the paps are going to kill some one and i wonder how many times it will happen before there are some serious laws put in to affect against them, they way they bombard the celebs is just nuts. glad no one was hurt.
30there are so many selfish people out there...makes me crazy! but when i hear about a 2nd grade class raising money for an African orphange (or wahtever) it my cold frozen heart warms just a tad...
31LOL @ pretending to read.
32
33Yeah, definately NOT really reading that book. Sorry, it can't come as a surprise that she's going to have her picture taken... get out a War Crimes book! She makes me want to throw up.
34the picture does look staged...i still like angie though.
35It's just a faux bookcover for a Danielle Steel book.
36It looks like she was just about to give them the finger which would have been classic.
37LOL twink.. Or the Kama Sutra
38And hey a mom of three + Brad to please sexually + a movie to film..doesn't leave a girl a lot a book time.. where better to catch up on Crimes of War than in a hurtling auto rickshaw being chased by 200 photographers on motorcycle? I mean how much of that road can ya stare at every day?
39There ya go IMA. LOL
40typo LOL can you picture a stack of 200 photographers on one motorcycle chasing angie's rickshaw? That would be cool!!!
41LMAO @ Imabeliever!!!
42I think it's safer for celebs to just let the pap take their pictures. After Pricess Di's crash it's just not worth running from them. I think it's an invasion of privacy but the press has the right to take pictures. That's never going to change. Didn't one of Brangelina's body gaurds choke a camera man who staying in the same hotel as them when he tried to take of picture? If that had happened in the US he would have been punished. That body guard should be fired. A picture does not hurt a person the way choking him does. Their body guard is a little out of control.
43Reminds me of someone I know who likes to carry around a copy of the Wall Street Journal because she thinks it makes her look smart.
44Carrying around the Wall Street Journal DOESN'T make you look smart? DAMMIT!
Believe in Magic!
45it depends on how many photographers..if one to five are following you, surrounding you, slowing you down..ok..but when you are being rushed, pressed, surrounded by 25 to 100 which are tying up traffic, causing accidents, pulling knives on one another.. how can you know that you are safe from them harming you?
46The paps are really out of control, somebody could have been seriously hurt, they need to leave Angelina and Brad and their kids along. This is crazy. I wish the BAMZS family all the best in India and I can't wait for them to come home where it is safe
Alex15
47LOL @ at home where it is safe.
48I don't know how safe it is at home (USA). When Angie was pregnant the paparazzi cornered her at a benefit and knocked down her assistant. That didn't look too safe to me.
49i think its one thing to be mobbed my paps if you're a celeb b/c you make that choice to,well, be famous. but its a whole nother ballgame when they rush people's kids. like that photog who jumped over the fence at Mad's school. that was just obscene. & I understand when Jude Law goes nuts when paps are following areound him & his little ones.
50BTW I knew a chick in college who wore fake glasses to get the cute nerd's attention...it didn't work...I accidentally called her out in class...ooops!
