Jennifer Aniston forgot her pants for the October cover shoot of Australian Harper's Bazaar. She doesn't need more than a simple black top and hat to accentuate her amazing body and big smile. Inside, she stuck to her usual interview topics like her romantic history and strong stable of girl friends, but she also joked about her successful career and what she would be doing if not acting. Here are highlights:
- On love: "I think it’s important to have closure in any relationship that ends — from a romantic relationship to a friendship. You should always have a sense of clarity at the end and know why it began and why it ended. You need that in your life to move cleanly into your next phase. I’m still a romantic. I still believe in love."
- On being lucky in her career: "I don’t know. I’ve never sat and plotted out how I was going to become successful or famous. I just really wanted to work — to do good work — ever since I was at the High School of Performing Arts [in New York]. My Russian acting coach told me I was a disgrace to the Moscow Theatre. So I was determined to prove him wrong and do good work. I’ve never had my eye on a prize. I really wanted to enjoy the passage of time. Before Friends and the success of that I have a graveyard of sitcoms that, thank god, you don’t know about. I was happy to get a job every year, whether it went on or not."
To read what Jennifer has to say about her possible alternate career, good female friends and more just read more.
- On women doing too much: "Oh yeah. I think that’s because it’s just instinctual as a woman to be the caretaker of your home. Women complain that men don’t do enough, but it’s your own fault. You train your man to do nothing. You can’t blame someone for not knowing what his or her job should be if you don’t ask for it right off the bat."
- On lasting relationships: "I think it’s laziness. I really do. I think a good relationship is about collaboration. That’s the way to go in a relationship. I think you just need to talk to each other. Say what you need. Say what you want. That way it’s not threatening. You just need to say, ‘This is important to me.’ Don’t expect your mate to read your mind."
- On what she would be doing if not acting: "Sure, I always thought it would be fun to own a restaurant. My family is Greek, and many of them own restaurants and coffee shops, and I make a great baklava with my grandmother’s recipe."
- On her friendships: "I have great support and great friends. My close friends are important to me, so I make time for them. I’ve always wanted good friendships and they have supported me, through good times and bad. It’s [also] good to have something creative, a creative outlet. I loved having work to go to."

Why even bother with the shirt? Why not just wear the hat?
1Cannot even express how tired I am of her "no seriously guys, I'm okay!" interviews. Yes, you've been unlucky in love, but you're a strong independent woman and you have lots of interests and you're business- savvy. Borrrringgggg.
2Nothing to see here...
3Oh Goodness. Let the J.A. pity party resume.
4Guess she feels she has a winning strategy to stay viable (keep people feeling sorry for her so they buy her movie tickets). How can you feel sorry for someone worth $100 mil, maids, butlers, cooks, assistants, personal trainers, hairstylists, dog walkers, plastic surgeons, no kids, etc. It's getting old. Also, not the person I'd go to for relationship advice. Must be embarrassing to have men screaming from the roof tops that they are NOT going out with you. Really just don't want to be portrayed as the new "bad" guy who broke Jennys heart, that's Pitts job for eternity.
5"You train your man to do nothing" enuff said. And she wonders why men don't stay...it's all about her,no where does she talk about understanding the man it's he has to know what i need, what i want otherwise it won't work.
6I used to really like her, but I'm so tired of the same old interview topics. Yawn!
7always the same kind of pictures. It would be nice to see her doing something new.
8I completely agree anabj. It's time to make some sort of progress.
9Not that interesting of a read but I like the watch she's wearing.
10The Moscow Theater is STILL dissapinted in your so called "acting"
11who does this poseur think she is? She has ZIP talent.
Hmm she just said that it would be fun to open a restaurant. That's funny cuz I remember not so long aog the tabloids were reporting that she was about to open her own restaurant. From this interview it doesn't seem like its happening soon. I agree with what she says about women doing too much. Sometimes it happens without you realising it.
Oh and for the people saying the same sh!t over and over that she is boring etc. well HELLO!!! Why are you here then??? If she is so boring there are plenty of other celebrities you can read about. This is specially to the hypocrite anonymous who ALWAYS posts like 20 times on every Jen A board with the same complain.
12she can only answer questions she is asked, if that is all people want to talk about then i dont think there is much she can do about it, i am bored of hearing the same things too, but i dont blame her for that
13Maybe someday she can have an interview where she DOESN'T talk about love.
14Maybe some day she can have an interview in which she is NOT asked about love.
15She looks good. Very healthy. For those calling for "something new"...if it's not broke--no need to fix it, IMO.
16She looks great!
17She got a gorgeous body, gorgeous smile, gorgeous hair, gorgeous EVERYTHING.
I love her. She's really good at what she does. I'm a fan, as you guys probably figured.
Does anyone know what watch she is wearing? I love it!
18She is acting like megan fox in this photos
19Agreed silver. The opening paragraphs of this interview are just quotes strung together from previous interviews repackaged as opening commentary. The actual interview itself is utterly unimaginative. I get that the movie is about relationships, love, loss, etc. However, so are most films (at least at their core). An interviewer can keep on these topics while still evoking something new and keeping the commentary relevant. Since "Love Happens" has a main character recovering from his spouse's death, why not ask about death or loss of love ones, the grieving process and whether Jen would react similar to the characters, etc. Something more insightful to the film making process and her connection to the characters.
At the same time I think Jen is in a pickle either way. If she divulges little information she is considered boring or repetitive. Alternatively, I can see that if she answered exhaustively on the subjects of love and loss people would read into her comments as they see fit...and then the inevitable complaint of her brining up her past would be aimed at her. She honestly can't win with some. No other actor/actress is held under the microscope as much as her in terms of having their every word picked apart.
BTW...to the poster who commented on wanting a new look from the photos - that's kind of hard when these shots are a couple of years old. Seems the mag just repackaged those as well.
20Jennifer had Brad trained all right -- trained to think he was in a real marriage with a heterosexual woman. Thankfully, he woke up one day and realized it was all a sham.
21she looks good but quotes and pics are old!and hates you can go away
22haters
23Maybe someday she can have an interview where she DOESN'T talk about love.
she's promoting a movie called love happens. what else she would be talking about? and these quotes and pics are old. it's not a real interview.
24people will always hate...it's a form of flattery unless you really are fat and or ugly...anywayz, she looks great
25ZZZzzzz
26sham28, for christ's sake, she just answered a question she was asked. And I'm sure if she refused to answer those and similar questions, a lot of people, including you, would start raving about that, too.
27A star of her stature could set the lines of what topics are not going to be discussed in any interview. But why bother when talking about her relationships sells. She might get more respect if she focused more on her career than her personal life.
28i would taste her baklava, because my mothers makes the best.
29i like the interwiew, as some of you write it's not her fault she is asked the same questions.
Although these responses could apply to the one relationship (of the many she's been in) that many people, including posters on these threads, can't seem to get out of THEIR heads, they really are probably more related to the theme of the film she's promoting. She's not the one who keeps bringing up he who shall not be named, YOU and the MEDIA are. Can we all move past it? Please?
I don't see her asking for pity here, but then I have never seen her asking for pity.
30Ginger, I'm sure she did set the parameters of the interview to some extent, as many celebrities do. She probably requested no personal questions (i.e. no questions about current/past relationships/family, etc.). But what is she going to do when promoting a movie about love, loss and relationships - declare generalized dicussion of those topics verboten? Gimme a break.
As for her getting more respect - from who? Seems to me that she gets plenty of that from her strong fanbase that has helped her acchieve box office clout, and the film industry that respects her enough to have awarded her numerous film awards (most recently the WIF Crytal Award)and continues to hire her (see The Bounty, Pumas), or assist in financing her projects (see The Baster, Goree Girls).
31Box office clout? Um yea... it's all her of course. Not her costars or a dog. She really blew everyone away with Management.
32Is that the best you can come up with? Management, one of the least-promoted films I can remember? No one's going to see it if they aren't aware it's in the theater. She does seem to work better when she's in an ensemble, but not that many people can carry a film by themselves. Big deal.
33"Management" was promoted. there was a premiere covered by the entertainment press and various interviews. Like the one where Jennifer said she couldn't wait to get to work with a married man. "Management" made less than $1.2 million dollars WORLDWIDE. A huge loss for the producers and a BIG FLOP for Aniston.
34We've read this same interview since 1995. Jen, as Laurence Olivier said to Dustin Hoffman, "My dear boy, try acting for a change." You got the pile of money, take a risk already!
35Anon, take a PRINCIPLED BOLD RISK and promise yourself you'll NEVER waste one minute of your time again to populate any Jen post, a woman you hate so much that you posted over ten comments. That's just sick. Try it, your life and soul will be better for it.
I love Jen's interviews cuz she's classy and smart enough to know your private life should stay that private! She gives obstructive and nonthreatening little glimpses into her life. She shares only surface and regular/normal issues like friendships, love, a little bit of this and that but nothing that the media and loons can misconstrued and use to hurt her, she's been there already. There's no notoriety, no scandal to divulged and no hateful smearing ammunition, just a lovely normal woman doing her own thing. Hence the reason they call her and her interviews boring, they're at a loss. Jen is a smart lady and she's learned her lesson.
36I gave Management as an example because that is one of the few movies where she is the star trying to carry the film. You really can't give her the credit for big tix sales on things like Along Came Polly, Marley & Me, or Bruce Almighty, where she was a supporting cast member.
Look at some of the other films she got top billing in: Rumor Has It, The Good Girl. Not big box office. Management and Love Happens were both delayed for over a year after they were shot, because they couldn't find a distributor.
There are a lot of people who make films that don't sell in the theater, but they still make money with the video and international sales, so people keep giving them roles. Like Steven Segal. So she may have a long career of small inexpensive movies ahead of her.
37Anon #36, I loved your comment. You're absolutely right.
38Looks great and sounds nice but it's all fake. She said "I've never eyed on a prize". Really Jen? I definitely do not think so. She's very ambitious and competitive. I don't ever buy whatever that comes out from her mouth. But I admit to always love to hear her talking coz nowadays, it's quite hard to find someone who is so successful and still tries to be fakely nice to people. Most of successful people are very stuck-up and act sh*t, so I kinda appreciate it when successful people try to act nice to people even if it's all an act...
39^ And she doesn't give a crap what you think about her. How offensive and mean can one be. I do feel pity for you
40Jennifer is a great and talented actress and can carry films.she is so successful in her career and reached a lot.she is terrific comedy star who can acts drama as well as comedy.A good movie is NOT necessarily a box office hit! maybe people understand it someday!! Management was not loss or big flop but another chance to show her acting skills! Agreed, these people ARE offensive.
41Btw she looks fabulous
42Wow, even airbrushed to death she's STILL a butta face! Can't wait for this movie to bomb as well. One of these days people will wake up and see that she is NOT a movie star. I'll give her the sitcom star, but even thats a stretch since she was the least interesting on Friends. She's a woman of no substance and is way to desperate for attention. Go away you little beady eyed, no lips troll. And BTW, posing half naked doesn't help make you sexy.
43She's a huge POTHEAD, maybe thats why her eyes are so small, lol.
44Anon 44
your comment is just dumb. small eyes = Pothead
have you ever seen someone stoned? most of them look bugged out
like a chihuahua
And I agree with most comments about it not being her fault when people still keep asking her about relationships and she answers them. true she may be able to somewhat discourage such questions but I bet the moment she does that someone will come out and say that she's avoiding it because she's still a sorry loser hung up on Mr. Pitt... Blah Blah Blah
If you don't like her there's no need for you to bother reading what's written about her not to mention waste time commenting on it too.
However I do agree, her photos are getting redundant. New poses and new outfits please!
45To Anon #45, Anon #44 is right. Look it up in a medical journal. Smoking pot makes your eyes/pupils small. Its a fact... LOL, your eyes don't bug out when you smoke pot. They get small and red dumbass. Are you on crack? Because THATS what makes your eyes bug out like a chihuahua. and yes, your dear Jen is a pothead, its well known.
46She doesn't like high at all? I think whoever suggested that is high. Who cares if she has small eyes, I think she is gorgeous!! She's not a skank like britany spears or paris hilton (I love both of them by the way. I think she is a great role model!
47Jen and Brad smoked the reefer when they were married...lots of it. Noone said she was high in the pic, just that she likes her pot and butts. #47, you say you love Britney and Paris yet call them skanks. Huh? I guess you love you some skanks, lol!
48# 31 Most of those movies you named were HER projects. SHE produced them. She has to because nobody else will. As far as numerous awards, WTF is a Crystal Award? Lets not confuse those with real awards, like Oscars, Emmy's, GG, etc.. Were talking awards for movies (since people want to tout her as a great Movie star, ala' Ms. Jolie), not her cheesy TV show. Wow, doesn't take much to impress you and #36. #36, Wa wa wa! You're just as whiny as your idol. Someones been drinking the Koolaid. Take your nose out of her ass and stop being so naiive. Do you bow down at the shrine you made for her too? Get a grip woman!
49#49 WHAT THE F ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? SHE IS A GOOD ACTTRESS.
50STOP COMPARING THIS SEXY LADY WITH A SHANK WHO CANT ACT.MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS THEIR FAVOURITE.
