Cameron Diaz and Seth Rogen spent their Labor Day weekend hard at work on The Green Hornet in LA. They filmed a few serious-looking scenes on Saturday, though they shared a laugh as they reviewed some takes. Cameron even had a little wardrobe change, switching from her business wear into a chic blue dress. Seth and Cameron are just two of the film's leads, and they'll soon be joined by costar Ryan Reynolds. Ryan won the role after a rather public audition procession, and it'll be exciting to see him and his big muscles starring in this adaptation of the classic comic.
For more photos of Cameron on set just read more.
I thought Ryan Reynolds was going to be in The Green Lantern....not the Green Hornet. I think Seth is the super hero in this one.
1don`t like cameron diaz?
2You're right 5pink5!
3are you high or just really bad at fact checking? are you too lazy to just imdb and see that Ryan Reyonds is not in this?
4I'm so sick of unattractive men getting big starring roles that women who were the same level of attractiveness would never get. And of course Rogen's character will inexplicably manage to bag a hottie like Cameron Diaz in the film.
Everyone knows about the double standard in Hollywood so why doesn't anyone DO something about it instead of just accepting it? I'm tired of women having their worth defined more by their looks than men, especially in this day and age.
5BlueBee: See My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
6Or any Renee Zellweger movie.
7Sorry for the dbl post.
Maybe more like a spoof of the Green Hornet, or a sillier spin on it? Rogan and Diaz obviously = comedy.
I'd read that Jack Black was in talks to do Green Lantern at one point and they were going to go the "funny" route with that - thankfully it didn't seem to work out and they're going to tell the origin story with Reynolds.
8Jeff, Renee Zellweger may not be gorgeous, but she also isn't glaringly unattractive (her looks are kinda open to interpretation). There are times when she's looked pretty (and some people would argue that they find her pretty in general). She has to always keep her figure in shape (unlike Rogen), unless she's specifically gaining weight for a movie...oh, and she's an Oscar Winner (also unlike Rogen), so she's "proven" herself to the industry.
9Nia Vardalos has a big nose and looks like an average lady, but she's also not glaringly UNattractive...and, it should be said, her "frumpy" looks were basically the basis for the WHOLE movie - how she needed to get a makeover to get a man - whereas in the Green Hornet it might just be one slight aspect played out for a few laughs, it it's mentioned at all, not the whole plot. Also, I don't understand: By pointing that movie out to me are you trying to imply that women DON'T face much more pressure for their looks than men? That women aren't held to impossibly high standards in society and bombarded by images of unrealistic beauty in the media? That the out-of-shape schlub bagging the hottie hasn't been a recurring theme in pop culture since forever, whereas the formula is almost never reversed? I just don't see the point of bringing it up. You can't point to one example to disprove my observation of something that's prevalent and always has been throughout the entire industry...and society in general.
As far as I see it, My Big Fat Greek Wedding was the exception that proved the rule. The fact that you're only pointing to one hit movie (that sends a lot of mixed messages to women to top it off) kind of proves my point.
But thanks for being a typical jerk and not even attempting to put yourself in a woman's shoes, Jeff.
10i didn't realize that CD and SR were going to be in this movie - i guess that makes it even better right? i would have been interested because of RR alone but this is just great
11I love these two! Looks good
12Wow, you really need to lighten up a little BlueBee.
Im not a jerk. I hardly even said much. Take a chill pill. And no, you didnt make a point. I wasnt talking about Oscars or how respected the actors or actresses are. Just stating the fact that said issue does not only apply to men. Geez.
13Also I never called either one of them ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and both women have very likable qualities. I wasn't bashing anyone. Never did I say they were ugly or fat. Get off your feminist high horse.
14You're right 5pink5, The Green Hornet and The Green Latern are two different things.
