We obviously love having David and Victoria in the states but unfortunately, not everyone agrees with us on how cute David is, even sitting on the bench. A lot of soccer fans feel that Becks is overhyped and overpaid since he's been sidelined or absent from most of the Galaxy's games so far this season. This news must have stung Beckham's pride a little but he made sure to make his dedication to the Galaxy very clear in his latest blog post:
I’ve been working really hard this week in the gym to try and get fit as quickly as possible and get playing again. As anyone who knows me is well aware, I love playing soccer and can’t wait to get out on the pitch and play a part in the upcoming games.
Poor Becks. We wish he'd hurry up and fix that ankle so his fans can see firsthand all the athletic talent we know that he's just waiting to unleash on America.

21I don't understand why this is such a huge deal. This happens all the time in other sports as well... for instance, hockey. The Colorado Avalanche spent a ton of money last season for Jose Theodore and he couldn't even play for the first month or two he was with the team!

26all respect, pop, but sports is a topic you don't know a lot about. beckham is NOT one of the best soccer players by a long shot. he's just caucasian and handsome and married to a pseudo-celebrity. THAT's why he got a big contract in LA, for a league that is foundering as it is. there are LOADS of better players out there, much more worth deserving of all this ridiculously misplaced attention. talk about him being handsome if you must (but ugh, the man is a munchkin) - but being awesome on the pitch is an overstatement. a BIG one.

38Yeah he is sooo overpaid. He's the thing ladies, the only reason why he came to the U.S. was because MLS is more slow-paced than anyother league, and in a few years he is going to retire. Thus he's trying to get the most money he can out of his retirement. Yeah, he's hot and all, but he is waaay past his prime and I'm not surprised all these injuries are coming to him.
