Matt Damon has been in A-List company during his time at the Toronto Film Festival, and last night he was joined by another famous face, Bill Clinton, for a dinner benefiting his ONEXONE foundation. Taking a break from promoting The Informant!, Matt opened up about the importance of his charity work of brining clean water to areas with limited access. He said, "I was in Ethopia couple of months ago and there was this hand-dug well with kids dipping their bottles into something that looked like chocolate milk. . . When I get back from one of these trips, I sit with my wife and finally, after hours and hours of silence, I'll start talking about what I've just seen and experienced." Lucky Matt has a table full of ladies to share his stories with, though yesterday it was only wife Luciana by his side for the star-studded philanthropic event.

ETHIOPIA!!!!!!!!!!!
It's always nice to see a celeb making these efforts to change peoples lives who are really in need. I'm sure watching children struggling for something so basic as water has to deeply effect anyone, and especially a parent.
Does his wife know he is gay?
Do you think she cares? She's after the $$ and the spotlight. She'd rather be out partying than home sending her "other" daughter off to school. BTW - this movie going to BOMB big time. It premiered several days ago and you can't find a good review online.
Please stop your smear campaign Anon (x2). There are lots of positive reviews online and the movie will do well. Congrats to Matt on a busy Toronto festival and to Lucy for attending every event with him and looking great.
Damon is typical of the fast food fame and fortune Hollywood crowd. They think with their emotions and spend zero time thinking of the consequences of their actions. So a few people will have clean drinking water. But how does that affect the culture and behavior problems that led to this condition? What will change so their children will have the power and willingness to live differently? In the long run, charity does nothing; the answer lies in building a culture of self-reliance and upward mobility. Lots of dunces carry forth with their hearts (and money) on their sleeves. Bleeding hearts like Damon actually make me quite ill.
Damon is such a loser. Move to Africa and never make another movie.
You've got to be kidding me!! They are one of the very few Hollywood couples which seem so grounded and genuine. Granted, I don't know them personally but they've always handled themselves well and managed to maintain a certain level of fame and popularity without all drama and overexposure. They do the rounds, promote, go to a few parties and then they go away, as it should be!! Luciana hardly strikes me as a gold digger - actually quite the opposite, simple, sweet and a great support for her husband. Matt is so All-American and down to earth. Cecil91, when was the last time you did something nice for someone? I'm sure Matt Damon realizes that he cannot fix this problem but for someone who is less self-seeking than yourself, a little bit goes a long way. His money and fame can do absolutely nothing for those people but i'm sure he brightened their day and usually that is just what people need.
Matt Damon (or any other celeb for that matter) can solve Africa's problems nor is it his job to do so! Being nice doesn't require a whole lot and the rewards are quite spectacular so rather than crapping on people who do good, be nice and see what a difference it makes!
*can't
Um could we stop with the hatred and the snide remarks about how his wife is a gold digger. So kill him if he choae to marry someone who's not a celeb. Are you all jealous and that insecure that you have to lash out at every picture people get to see of her. And Cecil91, atleast he's doing something. So if he doesn't that makes him a jerk and even if he does, he's a jerk. Wow, people like you are why people who want to make a change are held back by what someone's stupid ridiculous comments.
Love how all these ridiculous comments are all anonymous! Luciana looks beautiful here.
Does anybody know where I can get Luciana's dress? She looks great here!! I don't understand people's desire to bash individuals who actually try to use their celeb status to raise awareness about important issues, especially when their concern seem to be genuine and they are typically leading a low-profile life. I would raise an eyebrow if Heidi and Spencer suddenly went off to Ethiopia because it would surely be nothing but a PR stunt, but the same can hardly be said for Matt Damon, who has demonstrated his engagement in various fields, including politics.
So many haters! Get a f*cking life
Good for Matt! And I love Bill Clinton!
