Patrick Swayze Passes Away at 57
Patrick Swayze passed away today at home with his family. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008 and his condition took a turn for the worse earlier this year. He was 57 years old. Swayze is survived by his wife, Lisa Niemi, who he's been with since he was 18 years old. Patrick has a very special place in our hearts for many of his movies, like Ghost and Point Break to name a couple, but perhaps most of all for Dirty Dancing. Our thoughts are with his loved ones, and he will be missed.

43I have two thoughts. For one thing, I understand the survivors' situation: I lost my aunt to stomach cancer. And, it nearly gives me the creeps to read he was 57: I'm 54; so it really hits home.

If you haven't seen "The Outsiders" you need to of course "Dirty Dancing" is just perfect.He didn't die because of his age it was pancreatic cancer it is a death sentence handed to men of young and old age.
