Sarah Jessica Parker smiled through the pain of slipping on those stilettos for the launch of her newest fragrance, Covet, at Macy's in NYC today. We're definitely checking out the new scent that Sarah has worked so hard to perfect, but if you need a little more coaxing to pique your interest, check out the commercial for Covet starring SJP herself. In the meantime, we'll sit back and covet her perfectly toned arms as she poses pretty with her new perfume.
More of SJP at the launch if you read more

I'm excited about her new perfume!
Her previous one, Lovely was....well, lovely! I
love it, and I can't wait to check out this new one!!
1My daughter wants to know why she just couldn't buy the perfume...I am not sure how I feel about those commercials...
2Hvnly, I know what you mean. For the commercial, if you can afford to go around Paris in a haute couture dress, I'm sure you can buy the perfume.
3Damn look at those arms!
4That commercial is crazy. So now we're going to break and enter for a perfume...
5I thought the commerical for Covet was pretty fun. It definitley caught my interest!
6I can't see this video, but if it's the commercial I saw on tv (which it sounds like), I absolutely hate it.
I also hate the whole celebrity perfume craze.
7And you know, I don't like SJP either.
So basically from start to finish, I dislike this whole thing.
8Greggie - the video is of her using her stillettos to break into the window of a store so that she can grab the Covet bottle..then the police arrives and she says can i have a spritz of the perfume..then SJP lands in jail..
9Yup that's the one I saw. I kept watching thinking "WTF is this crap??"
10I think the commercial is supposed to be an exaggeration. The name of the perfume is Covet, so I guess she's "coveting" the perfume, and since the desire for some things are so strong sometimes that you'll do anything for it...and in her instance, even kick the store window with her Louboutins. But that's just my take on it.
11She looks like sh*t here. shes really starting to show her age. Ive never thought she was very pretty though...a little horsey. And after seeing that commercial, i probably wont go by the perfume. It was really dumb, crazy, and I dont think it sends a good message. She was just trying way too hard with it, and it just turned out a big mess. I really cant believe anyone thought it would be a good idea to air that mess.
12Okay the commercials are horrid. The whole creative is just crap. She looks like she's in a bad trannie prison, or a mental ward. Depends who you're looking at.
13Of course the commercials are an exaggeration. *lol*
14
sarabel!
15i like to smell nice, but I guess i just don't get all of this celebrity perfume stuff. do people buy it based on the "creator" or how it smells?
16I can't wear perfume at all, so I don't buy it. *lol*
But I do think a lot of people buy based on who "created" it rather than actually liking the perfume.
17I thought to myself as I was watching "Dont harm the Louboutins!!!"
18Oh my God, I need that on a tshirt.
"Don't harm the Louboutins."
Or "Every time you harm the Louboutins, God kills a kitten."
19Nice extensions.
20She looks great! Can't stand perfume tho...
21Can I patent that phrase??...then we can go into the shirt making business and make bucks with the rich folks
22I hated the character of Carrie, so she's hard for me to enjoy watching. I don't like this perfume, though. Lovely was nicer. She should've just stuck to one...oh well...
23I wonder what Mariah's commercial will look like...and Gwen's...
Oh I love the dress! Yeah the commercial is so stupid and she looks crazy in it.
24What an adorable dress and I love the shoes too!!
25I actually liked the commercial. I think most of the celebrities that do fragrances take themselves way too seriously. (Mariah's new ad for her fragrance makes me want to lose my cookies.)
I think SJP is showing off her sense of humor. Perfume doesn't have to be stuck up.
26Even if you hated it, the commercial caught your eye so it did it's job. I personally liked it - it was weird and fun. I agree with juju, SJP is having fun with it.
27I agree with juju and lilvix. I am so bored by perfume commericals that are all so similar. It is hard to convey what something smells like with visuals alone, so that is a challenge within itself. I just dont know why so many do that misty montage thing.
To me, the commerical reminds me of the way elderly women used to covet specific shades of lipstick when I worked at a Clinique counter in college. "You are out of GOLDEN BRANDY?!?!?!!"
There were times I feared for my life. Women CAN be that crazy about their beauty products!
28I hate that commercial - like it was said before SJP looks like a mental patient at the end, plus you name is on the damn bottle you don't have to steal it.
29I always liked SJP from when she was on Square Pegs and in Honeymoon in Las Vegas. She's always had an amazing body, still does. Yeah, she's aged but at least she does it gracefully and hasn't botoxed her face to death. And not everyone can look like Angelina or a supermodel. If everyone looked gorgeous and was plastic we would be like Stepford Wives.
Personally, I didn't like her Carrie character at all. And I don't care for celebs perfumes, but I definitely want to look at her Bitten clothes line soon.
30I saw the commercial and she scared me so much with those crazy eyes she was sporting... I understand wanting to show humour, but it looked really silly and not really that cute either at all...maybe the insanity of the commercial was supposed to be in our minds so we'll wonder how the perfume smells!!
31I agree with you Trixie - I thought the commercial was bad and her eyes really do look crazy and strange in them (overacting or bad make-up - I'm not sure). It just bugs me. And I do like SJP so it's not her I don't like, just the commercial. I hate it...I really really do.
32But I am interested to see how the perfume does and I would like to try it out when I see it.
she looks either all botoxed or like she had a face lift. She was all shriveled up a few months ago.
33is it just me, or does she look weird? she always wears this type of dress, her hair looks completely hair sprayed, and her make up is caked on. i think she can do better than this.
34Her hair piece is sooo long! It's crazy.
I've always thought she looks like a horse so not attractive (even though horses are!).
I'm not into the whole celebrity purfume thing either but thats not to say if one wasn't really nice smelling I wouldn't buy it.
35she's just getting older you guys. skinny women don't always do so well in the wrinkle department. i think she's cute. she reminds me of one of my friends.
36hate the hair. love the shoes!
37She looks good for her age.
38Holy crap, SJP is ripped! That's awesome. I would try her perfume just to support her evidently excellent personal trainer.
39i hate the covet commercial. waaay too annoying. and i doubt the perfume smells good.
40Apparently E! shows this every other commercial because I've seen it at least 10 times tonight while watching Dr 90210 and the Soup.
Good Lord she looks ridiculous.
I don't agree that a commercial grabbing your attention is doing its job, though. Partially, maybe, but if the outcome is avoiding a product BECAUSE of a commercial, it's a backfire. Like Carl's Jr - I used to go there regularly until they started having commercials with people stuffing their face and talking with their mouth full. I haven't been there since because all I can picture is their food being spit across the table. *shudder*
Sorry for the novel.
41I don't care about the perfume, in fact, I haven't even seen the commercial...but her shoes are fabulous!!!
42sooo pretty.
43i love her previous perfume so ill probably buy this one. the commercial was a little wacky but cute. sparked interest and made you want to know more.
44Sara looks pretty here.
45Fabulosity at its best and i want those shoe.
46Fabulosity at its best and i want those shoe.
47Fabulosity at its best and i want those shoe.
48She still got it.
49She looks phenomenal here. I love her perfumes.
